Chapter 20

It was Wednesday morning, Ruby slowly got out of bed only to see no one was to be seen in the room.

'Where did everyone go? It's only 6am'

I looked at the clock only to see it was thirty minutes before class

"WHY DIDN'T ANYONE WAKE ME UP I'M GONNA BE LATE!"

I walked into class right before it started only to see Weiss, Blake, and even Yang sitting in our regular spot.

I walked up the aisle towards my seat

'I only had a few minutes to brush my teeth and hair I'm exhausted'

"Hey Weiss."

For some reason that I didn't know at all Weiss looked, off? Not that she didn't look good, but something was definitely off

"Good Morning Ruby." She finished talking faster than she started

"Good Morning class, today we'll be going over techniques to use on beowolves. Turn to blah blah blah blah"

'I really hope this class is over soon'

Classes were finally over, everyone was either headed to town or their dorm rooms to take a nap.

Except for me, Weiss still hadn't answered my question about that kiss on the forehead. I'm determined to get her answer.

"Hey Weiss, you got a sec?"

"I believe so, what is it you wish to speak about?"

'Should I just go straight out with it or should I strike up the conversation first?'

I stood there fidgeting with my hands only to get embarrassed by each second passing

"I um, was hoping you would have answered my question by now. Ya know the ki-

"Hey Weiss I need you really quickly, I was hoping you would help me decipher this book. I kind of need it to study tonight." Jaune had walked over putting his hand on Weiss' shoulder

"Why wo- I mean sure why not. Ruby we can talk later, okay?" Weiss walked away with Jaune discussing something I wish I could hear.

'Why does it feel like Weiss is trying to avoid me? If it was that bad she could've just told me it meant nothing and went along with her day'

I let out a sigh, this day couldn't get any worse and it was only Tuesday.

"Hey Ruby! Over here!" I looked behind me to see Pyrrha and Nora coming my way

"Oh, hey guys. What's up?"

"We were wondering if you wanted to join us while we went out to eat?"

'This could, let me get my mind off of Weiss'

"I'm in!"

"Let's go break someone's legs!"

"-Then that's when Ren was all like 'calm down' but how could I call down if I could just break his legs!"

While Nora was going on and on about what JNPR did on their mission last week, I was busy still thinking about Weiss.

Maybe i'm just overthinking it and she forgot about it. That could be it.

"Ruby?"

I looked up to see a worried Pyrrha looking at me
