Company and Warmth

Walking near an alleyway, I hear some strange noises. I stop and turn towards the alleyway. I hear the noises again and I slowly make my way to the alley.
The alley is dark and unwelcoming. Water drips from the pipes and stuff hanging overhead. It's cold and makes me shiver even more than I was before.
I hear the noises again and turn to see, not one, but seven small animals.
My heart sinks and tears gather in my eyes as I think about how cruel people are with poor, innocent animals.
It took a while to coax all the animals out of the alley, but when I finally did, I held them close to me and made my way to my house.
Finally making it to the house, I unlock the door without putting the animals down. I struggle to open the door, but find it easy to close.
I put the animals on the floor as I take off my shoes. I then go to get towels for them, including me. "You guys behave, I'll be right back with some towels to dry you guys off," I say as I head to the bathroom.
I take seven towels and head back to the living room, where I had put the animals down. They now are scattered about, exploring the new place.
"Who wants to be dried first," I ask as I sit down on the floor. I hear a little squeak and look up, I smile and raise my hand as the sugar glider gets ready to jump.
Once the sugar glider is dried, I hold him in my hands as I think of a name for him.
"Jin! What do you think buddy," I asked the tiny thing.

I cooed at how adorable he was before I put him down. I finished drying them as well as naming them.
The kitten's name was Yoongi, but Suga for short.
The wolf pup's name was Namjoon, or RM for short.
The tiger was named Hoseok, or Hobi or J-Hope.
The fox was Taehyung, or Tae, or V.
The corgi puppy was Jimin, or ChimChim.
The cute little bunny's name was Jungkook or Kookie.

After being dried and named, I fed them. While they ate, I went to dry myself off and change.

I walk back into the kitchen and the boys' heads turn to me. Except one, one was missing. I looked in the living room and saw J-Hope in the couch.
"What are you doing Hoseok," I asked with a smile. He looked so cute.

I laughed as he tried to find a way down, off the couch. I eventually walk up to him and pick him up. I put him down and scratch behind his ear. He leans into my hand with a purr and flicks his tail. I smile and kiss the top of his head before sitting on the carpet. The boys all come to me and cuddle close to me. Except Yoongi, he stays distant and walks around me as far as possible. I don't let it bother me as I cuddle with the other boys. For once, the house didn't seem as cold as it was did. The boys provided the company and warmth I had yearned for.
I slowly close my eyes and fall asleep.
