"What!? No way! I almost died for these!" Rushon cried.

"But didn't you say you're never gonna wear them?" I hummed as I watched the worry lines form on Rushons face.

"I-I mean.."

"Come ooon, you know I'm right. Gimme"

Rushon squinted his eyes at me, and then looked over to the boots. The look reminded me of a time I didn't save in pokemon. He sighed and slowly pushed the boots over to me.

"Just promise me if you find something that casts illusions you let me have it? I want to feel like I didn't almost die for nothing."

I rolled my eyes and snatched the boots off the table.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever."

"This is so unfair," Rushon mumbled.

That's when I smelled it. The savory sensation of chicken and spice, strolling its way into my nostrils. I quickly turned around and saw Max with a huge plate in hand. Which held two smaller plates on it. All sizzling and smoking!

"Here's your order!" I heard the gleeful cheer of Max as he came over to our table.

"Hey, forget about it for now. Let's just enjoy our free meals and eat our sorrows away." I chuckled

"Yeah right, OUR sorrows. Like you didn't just get hover boots for free."

"Details, details.." I waved off.

"So Rushon, I got you a fajita bowl with shrimp, chicken, and beef. Plus, I spiced up the peppers and veggies for you. I call it Max attack." Max happily chirped as he set the colorful bowl down.

It was like looking at a garden or something! The cooked yellow rice was mixed in well with the vegetables to give it this dark ray of cooked colors. While the meat looked like something out of a fancy movie. Laid right on top of the garden he prepared.

"Woah this looks awesome!" Rushon took his phone out and took a photo of his meal.

And I couldn't blame him! Hell, I took my phone out and took a picture myself! This was art! It reminded me of Elle's paintings! It was just so unreal!

"No kidding, Geez Max you got a real talent!"

I looked over to max, and I could see his cheeks were red.

"I can't take all the credit, I learned my cooking skills from my Abuela." He hummed as he set my plate down in front of me. And my eyes lit up.

The tacos were just as colorful in their own way. Three of them had dark brown meat inside, it reminded me of steak, and it somehow shined! The white cheese on top of the meat was still melting over everything. With some green veggies and spices mixing in with it.

And next to those were chicken tacos, that looked just as good! And oozing next to those two was a beefy looking burrito which looked like Rushon's plate, but stuffed inside the burrito wrap, with scattered black beans in them. He had it cut in half on the plate, and the cheese was spilling out. And to top it all off, a side of his yellow rice next to it.

"I figured I'd give you a deluxe version of what you Americans seem to love so much. You gotta let me know how we stack up against Taco Bell." Max hummed as he turned around and walked away to the back.

"Dude this looks amazing..." Rushon mumbled as he drooled over his plate.

"I know!"

"Dude you gotta let me have a taco," Rushon asked.

"Only if you let me have a bit of shrimp and pepper!"

He gave me a smile and I gave him one back. I grabbed a fork and leaned over, scoping up some shrimp peppers and rice. And Rushon snagged one of my tacos. And I quickly stuffed my face. And oh my gosh, I could've died a happy man right then and there. It had so much flavor! It was spicy, tangy yet sweet. The plate was hot, but not too hot. I can barely make a ham sandwich and not overstuff it with sauce! Yet this kid made something better than anything at Ambrosias!
