Chapter Eleven – Lift Off

Words seem to escape my mind on to my lips. I want to see him be near him but I know loving someone like me is toxic is it bad I want to taint him?

It's been weeks since I seen Athena I wonder how she's doing her scent still lingers on my suit from that night. Her image has been engraved in my mind but I'm scared I will soon forget. I felt a little tap on my left shoulder and I escaped my train of thought " Sir your flight is about to aboard we should get going." Mary-Ann said while she bowed her head towards me she grabbed my bags and we walked towards the doors.

We arrived at Air Japan boarding doors I move quickly and took my carry on from Mary-Ann's hands "Ren..." my head snaps towards to the sound of her voice "Are you sure you wouldn't like me to come with you?" she seemed pretty persistent to come. " No that would not be necessary at all this is not a work related trip. Please tend to all my emails I should be back within a week or two." I bow my head to her and walked towards home.

The flight attendants all giggled when I asked for help finding my seat. " Here you are Mr." she paused waiting for me to fill in the blank " Ah yes my apologies Hiroshi , Ren Hiroshi " I smiled " Ren what a beautiful name just like the Lotus flower I hope you enjoy your trip and your time in first class. " she bowed and walked away. I took my seat and waited for lift off it has been a while since I've been home I bet so much has changed. I laid back and closed my eyes " I'm coming home."

Ten hours into my thirteen-hour flight I woke up extremely parched I waved my hand for an attendants assistants the same one from before came my way. " How can I help you Mr. Hiroshi?" she spoke softly trying not to wake up anyone resting. "Please just call me Ren. May you please bring a green tea no sugar and just a light snack you can pick." I smiled at her " Yes right away." As she left I pulled out my carry-on bag with my work files and laptop a small neon pink paper slipped out of the files I bent down to grab it " Be safe you will be missed back at the office – Mary-Ann" I smiled a bit sometimes I'm hard on her but she's special.

I get back into my seat and work away the rest of the three hours left I had on this plane. "Here you are Sir ... I mean Ren green tea with onigiri filled with hot beef curry." She opened the tray in front of me and placed it down "Smells wonderful domo arigatou gozaimasu." I said and I continued back to work. Those three hours only felt like minutes before I never knew it the captain buzzed on the air radio " Good Morning everyone this is captain Niko we will be landing shortly please buckle down and wait for the red light to come off thank you for choosing air japan!" he signed off and I did as he said I packed up my laptop and placed it in my carry-on.

Once we landed and I walked threw the doors I let the ray of a thousand  suns of my people embrace my face man it feels good to be home the air is filled with memories from my childhood years have passed I wonder what has chanced since I left home. I pulled out the piece of paper Mary-Ann left in my jacket pocket " I arranged a ride for you at the airport look for the sign saying your name – Mary-Ann" I did as she said I found my suit case and headed towards JP Deck 7. Looking threw the crown of clustered people to find my name was hard enough; but one stood out from them all a man with a red sign with white text held the sign as high as his pride and I knew he was the one I was looking for. I was able to wiggle my way threw the people looking for their loved ones.

I tapped the shoulder of the prideful man "Konichiwa Watashi no namae wa Hiroshi Ren desu. " I said as I bowed to him " No need for all the formal stuff buddy" he said with a tension of an hidden smile behind his words. That voice I know it from somewhere I pull my body up from me bowing it was Jun-Jun my eyes widened up, I begun to smile and I scooped him up " I missed you man. Look at you! look how much you have not grown."

I laughed and smiled even harder and let Jun-Jun down " Hey now the ladies love my height all right." He said rolling his eyes " What are you doing here? no one knows I'm coming home not even my mother and father." I said puzzled at the fact he was waiting for me here " Well a little hot secretary birdy told me a dear friend of mine will be coming to town. How could I pass up picking you up after hearing that it has been so long my dear friend!" Jun-Jun said, "Indeed it has let's go home!" I said he smiled back at me grabbed my suitcase and we walked into the sunrise I am home.

Sorry for the short chapter I know it has been long since I posted I'm currently writing the next one now. This chapter was the eyes threw Ren again he is heading back home after years of being away.
