Nakita kong umawang ang labi ni Darius sa biglang sinabi ni Flare. I wasn't expecting that at all! Akala ko noong una ay magtatagal ang galit niya kay Darius dahil sa nangyari kanina. But this is really shocking!
Few seconds later, Darius slowly crouch down to level Flare's height. I saw how his eyes glisten with so much warmth and joy. Hinapit niya ng bahagya ang katawan ni Flare palapit sa kanya.
"Are you sure?" he gently asked. "I thought you're mad at me?"
"I am," Flare frowned a little. "I'm mad that you made Mommy cry."
"I'm sorry..." marahan ang pagkakasabi niya. He gently patted Flare's head and tousled his hair a bit. I saw how Flare let him do it even though he dislike people he doesn't know touching him. "I'll make it up to you and your Mommy, okay?"
Darius smiled when Flare just stood there, letting him touched his face gently. Hindi mawala ang pagtitig ni Flare kay Darius. He is like looking at Darius's every features, probably finding out some similarities.
"Come closer," Darius muttered and Flare quickly obliged.
Gamit ang isang braso ay binuhat niya si Flare. He was so gentle since he doesn't want Flame to wake up from his deep sleep. Madali siyang nakatayo ng maayos habang buhat buhat ang kambal.
He did not even have a hard time carrying both of them. Ako nga ay hindi ko na sila mabuhat nang sabay noong lumagpas na sila sa edad na isa. I know they're heavy since they are taller and heavier from the kids their age.
Flare never averted his gaze towards Darius. The curiosity is clearly seen on his face. Darius began whispering something to him. And the next thing I knew, they were whispering at each other.
Medyo nabahala naman ako do'n sa kung anong pinag-uusapan ng dalawa. Para silang may sariling mundo.
After a while, Flare yawned. His eyes looked a little drowsy. Unti-unti siyang napadantay sa balikat ni Darius at ipinikit ang mata.
He is probably tired since he did not have enough sleep. Alam kong binantayan niya ng maigi ang kapatid bago ako dumating.
Darius smiled genuinely, glancing at him. Hindi mawala ang matamis na ngiti sa labi niya habang natutulog ang parehong anak sa may balikat niya. My heart is pounding so loud while watching them.
"We can let them sleep in their room," suhestiyon ko dahil ako ang nangangawit sa kanya. Halos isang oras na ata siyang nakatayo at buhat ang dalawa kahit natutulog naman.
"Okay," he agreed.
Ako ang umunang umakyat sa hagdanan at nakasunod lamang siya. He was too careful to not disturb the twins in sleep.
His eyes quickly surveyed the area when we went inside the twin's rooms. May dalawang maliit na kama roon at may mga laruan na nakahilera sa gilid. There is also a shelf for their books and huge toy cars on the corner.
Maingat niyang inihiga ang dalawa na tila ba pinipigilan niya pa ang paghinga. I had a hard time stifling a chuckle since he looks stupid for some reason. Nang nagawa niya ay doon pa lang siya nakahinga ng malugaw.
His eyes narrowed at me when he heard my soft chuckle. Naitikom ko kaagad ang bibig ko at tumikhim.
He sat on the mini couch on the corner. His masculine and large frame didn't fit perfectly with the small couch. Hindi niya pa rin maalis ang tingin sa natutulog na kambal. It was like a day wouldn't be enough for him to look at them.
"I-It's already night," awkward na pambasag ko sa katahimikan.
His brows arched when he glanced at me. "You want me to leave?"
