Ilang segundong katahimikan ang bumalot sa paligid ngunit wala ni isa ang balak magbaba ng baril. They are all pointing guns toward each other. Their men were all in alert mode.

"Let's go home, Blaire." Darius said while looking at me. I can't read his expression but his gaze looks gentle.

Bumaling ako ng tingin kay Vermundo. He smirked at me. Amusement is evident on his face, like he's enjoying that I'm having a hard time right now.

"What the fuck did you do, Vermundo." may diin ang tono ng boses ni Darius habang galit ang mga matang nakatingin kay Jansen.

"Why don't you ask her?"

"You really have to stick your nose to everything, huh."

Mas lalong napangisi si Jansen. "I stick my nose to every situation I'm interested to."

Nagtitigan muli sila na tila ba naghahamunan. Their men were just looking intently, watching every movement. Like if something was about to happen, they won't hesitate to fire their guns.

"Blaire..." he softly called my name. "Let's go home."

I stiffened on my position. Hindi ko alam kung bakit nasasaktan ako sa paraan ng pagtawag niya sa'kin. He sounded like he's pleading.

Narinig ko ang paghalakhak ni Jansen. His laughter echoed across the whole restaurant. Siya lang ang tanging natutuwa sa sitwasyong ito. He even wiped the side of his eyes after laughing.

"Darius Leonix Velarde is so fucking whipped." he mockingly laughed. "Your weakness will be your fucking downfall."

Mas lalong dumilim ang paninitig ni Darius sa kanya. His jaw clenched as he swiftly held his gun and pointed it towards Jansen who didn't even flinch. Vermundo's men immediately pointed their guns to Darius. Ang mga tauhan ni Darius ay hinarangan kaagad siya at muling tinutukan ang kabilang panig.

Walang bahid ng takot sa mata ng dalawa na tila ba sanay na sa mga ganito. Hindi ako makagalaw sa nangyayari pero nanginginig ako sa takot.

"One wrong move and I'll end you." Darius mercilessly said.

"Trust me, I don't even have to lift a finger to destroy you. I already ended you right before you started, Velarde." Jansen menacingly smirked. "You can go pick your woman and leave my territory."

Jansen halted his men to put down their guns. Nanatiling nag-aalab sa galit ang mga mata ni Darius na tila ba gusto ng pumatay. It was a first time for me to see him with bloodlust in his eyes. Natatakot akong makita siyang ganito.

"Go with him." Vermundo commanded me, still with a playful smile. "I already did what you wanted. We don't have business with each other anymore, Blaire."

Napalunok ako ng laway. All their men put down their guns. Matalim ang tingin ni Darius kay Jansen ngunit lumambot ito ng bumaling siya sa'kin. His eyes were pleading for me to come to him...so I did.

Hindi ako nagsasalita habang naglalakad ako palapit sa kanya. Sinubukan niyang hawakan ang kamay ko ngunit umatras ako. I saw his pained expression because of what I did.

Nakasunod siya sa likuran ko habang naglalakad kami palabas. I went inside the car without uttering anything. He was watching me...analyzing every movement and gestures that I'm making.

I don't want to say anything. I'm so hurt to react to it. Pakiramdam ko namanhid ako sa sobrang sakit.

He was there when my Dad died. He knew about it but he didn't say anything to me. Worst, he may be the one who did it.
