Xyla’s POV

Xylo’s candle light message ended with his best friend, Lirex. Imbis na maiyak, natawa lang ako sa message niya. Ginawa nilang comedy yung supposed to be heart-warming message. Napakaswerte ni Xylo for having a friend like him.

Soon the lights turned off at nabigla ako nang magspotlight sa pwesto ko’t nagulat akong nakatayo si Mama’t may hawak na kandila’t mikropono. Teka lang… candle light message rin para sakin? Wow… Kahit candle light man lang, meron ako. Na touch ako sa message ni Mama, nina Tita Cathy, Tita Sab, Xylene at Xytee at di ko akalaing magmemessage rin ang mga pinsan ko sa side ni Mama’t Papa. Andito si Dandee, si Lae at ibang mga kaclose ko’t mga kinakapatid ko. Pati narin sina Nerdy, Treshia, Mey at Karren. Di ko ineexpect ‘to. Last na nagmessage si Bel at ang tatag ko dahil hindi ako naiyak. Sobra-sobra akong natouch.

I thought I would go on stage after that but suddenly, the lights turned off again and the large screen on the stage played a photo slides of a baby with a background music… wait… its… me. Nilingon ko si Mama pero di ko Makita ang expression niya dahil madilim. Napaharap ako ulit sa screen nang biglang magplay yung isang video. It was Papa holding a baby.

 

 

“Hey everyone, I want you to meet my first princess, Xandria Laurene. Look at this cute little Angel… I’m glad she was born in this world. I’m the happiest father having her by my side.”Papa kissed the baby me and I can’t help myself when tears escaped from my eyes. I’m so lucky to have a father who was happy that I was born.

 

“Hey look! She opened her eyes…”Papa was smiling while looking at the baby me.

 

“Baby Xyla, can you see the world? Papa would give you everything in this world… for my dear princess…”Bigla nalang nagspotlight sakin pero patuloy yung pagplay ng video. Patuloy lang din akong naiiyak.

 

 

“For Papa, you’re just the world…” Mas lalo akong naiyak ng sabayan ni Papa yung sinabi niya sa video at lumapit siya sakin and handed me a Le Cygne. I get it and he offered his hands. I put my hand to his and he helped me to stand up. He leads me at the center while the spotlight was pointing at us. Soon the orchestra starts playing.

“Papa…” I bit my lower lip to help myself stop from crying but I can’t help it. Niyakap ko nalang si Papa habang nagsasayaw kami sa gitna. Napapatingin ako sa screen at Nakikita ko doon yung mga pictures ko noong bata pa ako. I was so bubbly that time. Napakacute kong bata. Bigla nalang may nagsalita sa screen pero tuloy lang yung pagslides ng photos ko.
