Xyla’s POV

I was… frozen for a minute. I look around and I saw the arrangement of the venue. Tama nga ako. Peonies nga yung mga naamoy ko. Ang ganda. Parang ganito rin yung arrangement na gusto ko noong 18th debut ko ‘sana’ pero may mga nadagdag lang. I look around at everyone. The guys were wearing white tuxedo’s while the ladies wore a peach gown. It’s so lovely. Tapos may red carpet pa sa gitna at may catered foods sa bawat gilid and I saw the big cake malapit sa stage with the gifts near it. Ang daming guests.

Naka white tent yung buong venue and the visitors were all sitting side by side with their corresponding tables. May mga peonies sa gilid ng red carpet and they were white and cream… Para naman akong ikakasal nito sa ayos ng venue. The whole surrounding was captured with the peonies fragrance. Di na kailangan ng pabango dahil ang mga peonies na yung nagpoprovide non. Sa harap ng stage, may malawak na space at dito kami nagsayaw ng Grand Cotillion Dance. Hinagilap ko yung mga lalaki pero di ko alam kung nasaan sila. Mamaya ko palang siguro sila makikita when we remove the masks. Nagsalita na yung EmCee at umakyat na kami ni Laurence sa stage while Mama and the other’s go at the table together with the guest. Hatak ko lang pataas yung gown ko habang inaalalayan ako ni Xylo.

 

 

“Let’s give around of applause for our debutantes, Ms. Laurene and Mr. Laurence Grayson, the Princess and Prince of the Grayson family.” Everyone clapped their hands then. I whispered at Xylo.

 

 

“Hey, where are the boys?”

 

“I don’t know. I can’t recognize everyone.”

 

 

“Before continuing our program, we’re requesting everyone to remove their masks now.” I saw everyone removed their masks at sa wakas ay nakita ko rin sila. They all look at us and I waved a little to them. They wave back too.

 

“Laur, help me remove my masks.” Tinulungan ko si Laurence at halos magpalakpakan lahat ng maalis yung mask niya.

 

 

“Wooohh… our debutante Prince is very good-looking huh?” Sabi nung EmCee. Kung hindi lang birthday party ‘to. Aalisin ko yang mga mata niya. Kung makatitig kay Xylo eh, kala mo kagandahan siya. Yung sakin naman yung inaalis ko’t tinulungan ako ni Xylo. Naalis na namin yon at halos mapakurap ako dahil medyo nakakasilaw yung ilaw. Ba’t ganon? Wala man lang pumalakpak? I look at Xylo and to everyone. Mga tulala lang. Nilapitan ko yung EmCee at kinuha yung mic sa kanya.

 

 

“Boo!” Everyone was shocked and came back to senses.
