(Y/N) POV - 1772 words

I'd completely shut my body down with the force of my resistance... interesting. I'm now fully conscious and can hear everything going on around me, I just can't see. This will be annoying if I can't figure it out, but oh well.

I hear a cadence of footsteps walking towards me and extend my En to see what's going on. Killua, who's still next to me, growls, "Stay away you perverted clown."

"My, my, what harsh language," Hisoka responds, "So, you are awake."

I let out a flash of bloodlust in return, not large enough to alert anyone who doesn't know Nen—like Killua—but enough to let Hisoka know I'm listening. He chuckles in response, "This will prove interesting, especially if you don't know how to wake up."

I don't do anything this time, and he gets the message.

"You know," he says slowly, "I could get you up if you wanted."

I try to glare, and... nothing happens. With a deep mental sigh, I rely on Killua.

"Don't you dare touch her," he hisses. I can conjure up a good enough mental picture of Hisoka to send hate spearing directly towards him. It's not a Nen thing, it's just a matter of shivers up the spine. The target of my disaffections just chuckles, "If that's what you want, but remember, my offer is always here."

Killua relaxes next to me, "Are you really awake?"

What can I do to send a message? I wonder. I'm grasping at straws now, but I try to push my aura towards Korako. Somehow, it works and he nods slightly. If I could kiss my parents right now, I would. Who knew knowing Nen would come in such handy, and in this situation no less. I blessedly get to see everything going on around me, though it might not be a blessing for long.

Masta, he said his name was, is standing between Gon and Hanzo. The Examiners and Nen users in the room all know I'm using En, they can probably feel it, but they say nothing. I'm not skilled enough yet to hide it from others, especially if they're strong, but there's nothing in the rules against it.

"I'm Masta. I'll be serving as referee for the tournament. Good luck. Both of you," he says. Jora and I weren't granted the honor, but then again, our match wasn't really official.

"Hey, good to see you again," Hanzo says, "You were the one who was tailing me around during the Fourth Phase. I assume that each of the Examiners were assigned an Examinee to follow. Well, I'm sure wasn't the only one who noticed."

Killua and I had both noticed, we just unanimously decided to ignore it. Kurapika says he noticed it, too, and Leorio agrees. Although I can hear the hint of a lie in his voice, he's just trying to look cool in front of his friends.

Pins and needles begin trickling back into my arms, it's just a matter of time before I can get back up, this is a tedious venture and waste of my time. I'm quite annoyed by it. Thankfully, the fight returns to its more formal setting and continues.

...and Gon is immediately struck down. I can feel ire radiating from Killua who assumes he could've done better. He probably could have. He has to remember Gon wasn't trained in combat, he's just been using his intuition and natural agility.

Hanzo is just beating Gon until he admits defeat. It brings back memories I'd rather keep in the dark recesses of my mind, if I'm being honest. Come on, Gon, keep fighting. I know you can do it. Hanzo can't kill you, all you have to do is hold out long enough for him to give up instead. I know your age is weighing on his mind. Come on, you can do this, Gon.

Gon's been beaten around for three whole hours, it's insanity. As this goes on, everyone's feeling for Gon and harbors at least a little bit of hatred for Hanzo. Leorio and Kurapika are both scheming to take down Hanzo together if this progresses any further. I'm likely to join them, if I can. I'm able to vaguely move my limbs around and stand, I just can't feel anything I'm doing, it's like I'm covered in marshmallows, for lack of a better comparison.
