(Y/N) POV - 2115 words

Killua slept soundly the entire night. When it was time to change shifts he was still soundly asleep and I didn't want to wake him up. I wonder how long it's been since he's had a good night's sleep. Can't have been anytime in the last week.

As the sun begins to rise in the East, Killua blinks his eyes open, "I thought you said you were going to wake me up! Did you sleep at all?"

"I didn't need to. Besides, you looked exhausted."

He gives me an annoyed look, "We had an agreement."

I say nothing, locking eyes. There were no words exchanged, but he shakes his head, "I guess I should be grateful. Thank you."

I smile at him, "You didn't have to do that."

He smiles back, "Do you really want to be here all day?"

"Good point."

I drop down out of the tree, landing gently on the ground. My En picks up small, flashing life forms which seem to be implanted in the ground: fish. I call up to Killua, "Breakfast?"

"Sure, why not? What's on the meñu?"

"It's a secret," I wink at him, putting a finger to my lips. Turning and walking in the direction of the stream, watching for any flickers of life which could be hiding in the bushes around the path. We reach the creek without incident. Crouching, I dip my hands in the cool, clear water and wash my face. Killua creeps up behind me and I him think everything's going to his plan. He reaches his arms out to push me in, and I spin to grab his arms, flipping him over my shoulder and into the water. He's laying on his back, staring at me.

A devious sparkle enters his eyes and he knocks my legs out from under me, tossing me into the water next to him. The water is shallow, only an inch or two deep where we are right now so we're in no danger of drowning as long as we stay on our backs. We both lay there for a few minutes, breathing, staring at the sky.

"I wasn't planning on taking a bath today," I joke. We turn our heads and look at each other. Everything's silent for a few moments before we both dissolve into laughter.

"Seriously, though, now our clothes are wet," Killua says, "What are we going to do?"

I stand, offering a hand to help him up, "We go fishing."

He sits up and cocks his head in curiosity, taking the proffered hand. I pull him up and walk down stream a little ways. When I spot the first fish, I stop and crouch lower in the water. I whisper, "We were probably going to get wet anyway, so at least we had fun."

Catching on, he crouches down next to me and replies in the same hushed tone, "Who goes first?"

I pause, thinking, "Let's make this fun. Whoever catches more fish wins!"

"You're on!"

"3, 2, 1... GO!" I shout, plunging my arms into the water. The fish won't know what hit them. With both of us moving at our top speeds, the water flies into the air in a comical fashion, hovering above us. A large pile of fish has gathered on the bank by the time we both stop, the water crashing back to the ground with a massive splash. Both us and our surroundings are doused in water.

"I'd say we tied," I say.

"Yeah, let's go with that," Killua replies with a slight laugh.

"Let's cook some of these up, release the living ones. We don't want to kill every fish on this island."

I step out of the water and grab the nearest fish. They're alive and wriggling, so I toss them into the water behind me. Picking up a couple more, I turn around and throw them at Killua who just barely manages to dodge them. He glares at me in jest, "Don't hit me!"
