(Y/N) POV - 333 words

Killua and I arrive just as Sadaso begins monologuing to himself in his full-length mirror. It's kind of funny to watch, if I'm being honest. He's going on and on about how he's going to become a floor master after "defeating" Gon and Killua. I sigh, he should've been more discreet about it. Surely he couldn't think we wouldn't find out. Killua even warned him, too.

I lean against the wall, watching as Killua sneaks up on Sadaso with a knife in hand. The single-armed man only realizes he's in danger as Killua swings his arm down with deadly speed and accuracy.

It stops at the crown of his head, Sadaso himself crouched on the floor in fear. Killua's back to wearing his normal attire: gray shorts and a white t-shirt over a long-sleeved blue one.

"Move, and I will kill you... Use Nen, and I will kill you. Make a sound, and I will kill you. If you understand, slowly close your eyes," Killua's voice is soft and deadly.

Sadaso is shaking, terrified at the thought of losing his life. This man's self-preservation instincts are strong, I know that from observing him. He values the belief that living to fight another day—to climb the ladder another day—is better than risking your life on a whim that may or may not succeed. It's what's going to save his life right now.

"Do you know what happens if you break your word?" Killua asks, voice still flat with no room for argument, "If you know, slowly open your eyes. Look at me in the mirror and listen carefully. Never show your filthy face to us again. That's a promise."

I can see Killua's face in the mirror, his eyes have once again turned into the vortexes of darkness, the royal blue swallowed almost entirely in shadow. Watching him in the mirror, in his element, protecting his friend... that's when I think I realized it for sure...

I love him.
