last summer

I am sitting on Hailey's couch. She's playing songs in her computer. its yet another boy band

"what band is this",i asked, not really interested. I had never found myself to be the boyband fangirl. It was hails happiness that mattered.

"broken glass," she replied with utmost glee.

she threw her phone at me. it hit my thigh.

"ow", i hissed at her.

the screen was lit with a poster a shard of glass that divided a streak of light into the 7 shades of the rainbow

it was mesmerising to watch

beautiful even

it hypnotised me

i blinked slowly realising that

"pretty huh?"hailey asked her head still towards the computer screen focusing on the poster of another band.

"maybe" I said not wanting to give her the actual verdict.

I turned around to show the poster to Chantelle to find her fast asleep

I guess her game was tiring.

school just got out.

junior year ended and next year I will be a senior.

a senior

my eyes catch the poster again and I know its gonna influence me.
