[Dean's P.O.V]

Cass raised her hand and shot me a nervous smile before knocking on the large door. I slipped my hand into her smaller one to try and calm her down.

I took in the well cared for lawn nearby and the pure size of the building. It was built like a monastery and was beautiful - in a gothic way.

As if reading my mind, Cass spoke, "It used to be a monastery. Then the nuns decided there needed to be a big enough building to house orphans and any homeless people in need. Sister Julie's aunt converted it into the Home about two decades ago, if my calculations are correct."

Just then, the door opened to reveal a short nun who looked at us curiously.

"Can I help you two?" She tilted her head to the side and asked us in a pleasant lilting voice.

"Sister Nancy, it's Cassandra. Cassandra Winters," Cass said, her grip on my hand tightening.

The nun gasped before flinging her small body at her, wrapping her in a hug. Cass smiled before letting go of my hand to return the gesture. When they pulled away, the nun stepped back and smoothed the wrinkles from her clothes.

"That wasn't gracious of me, I apologize."

"No need, Sister. Is Sister Julie here?" Cass asked, looking hopeful. Sister Nancy nodded as a smile lit up her face, she looked to be in her mid-twenties.

"Come in, the both of you and I'll take you to her."

We rubbed our shoes on the carpet, as per sister Nancy's request, before stepping in. My head turned from left to right as I looked around at the hallway we'd entered. The walls were covered in picture filled frames.

Cass came to a halt, making me almost walk right into her. I steadied myself and stepped closer to the wall to see the photo she was examining. She lifted her free hand to touch the picture, a faint smile flitting across her face.

The background was snow covered and there must've been at least nine or ten people in the picture with Cass was right in the middle. Her, then shorter, hair was in a small braid and she looked a few years younger, not to mention, happier than I'd ever seen her. In her arms, she held Cameron, who looked like he was dying of laughter, in a tight hug. Behind them, Chase stood looking at them with an amused expression. On either side of Cass, was a boy and a girl maybe a few years younger than her, their arms wound around her neck. The dark skinned boy had his lips pressed to Cass's cheek while the girl looked on with a happy smile. The rest of them seemed hardly significant.

I was pulled away from it when Cass touched my face to get my attention, "Come on. We have some people to see." Her lips turned up at the corners in a soft smile directed at me before she tugged on my hand to follow her.

We stopped when Sister Nancy knocked on the third door down the hall. After a voice called out to 'open', she peeked in.

"Sister Julie, I'm sorry to disturb but something has come up," She said without entering into the room.

"Take care of it, Sister Nancy. You hardly need my help," A woman's voice told her. I glanced at Cass to see a full fledged smile on her face coupled with a bit of nervousness.

Sister Nancy glanced back at us for a second before looking back into the room, "Trust me, Sister. You'll want to see this." I heard the groan of an old chair move and the clicking of shoes on the wooden floor before the door swung open.

Sister Julie wasn't what I expected. She was at the most maybe in her late thirties. She had grey eyes filled with intelligence and her ginger hair peeked out from under her hat. Or whatever they call it.
