Am I the only one who gets that itch?? Where everything else important fades to black in the back of your mind because you get inspired to write??
I'm going through the motions now, you know?? So I'm pretty sure you guys have seen these Beyond The Lights trailers on TV or has seen the stickers on a couple of stories on here tagges inspired by Beyond The Lights. It's not the trailer itself that gets me though I'm a sucker for ultimate love stories and Beyond The Lights looks SOOO GOOD and it's written by the same woman who wrote Love & Basketball so you know it's probably amazing.
What gets me is the song playing in the background of the trailer, the vocals and the emotion.. On God! This was amazing so today I went on a wild search for the song and found out it is called Fly Before You Fall by Cynthia Erivo.
I just fell deeper in love with this song since hearing the entirety of it. The lyrics are so beautiful and touching and it just makes me wanna rewrite Time Travel Undone to fit along the lines of it. I already wanted to reboot the story but now I can't even focus on the next chapter of The Fighter's Club I need to write.
My dilemma is I have these magical ideas and plots of love, life, and growth but I'm second guessing myself like can I actually even write this the way I want and imagine?? Doubt is a mother right now and I think all writers go through this once in a while no matter how good, popular, or seasoned they are?? I'm a rookie so these doubts be getting me in my feelings lol.
I'm supposed to be doing History homework and I'm only thing about how Harmony and Isiah's characters are the perfect ones to display the form of love, the song represents. Basically the one line : I'll teach you to fly before you fall away .
If you read Time Can Only Tell or the short parts of Time Travel Undone I started then you know why they are perfect for this.
Then doubt adds its irrelevant ass two cents in like you think you can do this justice?? I just wanna sock the bitch that is doubt in the face with a sack of bricks right now
