(*~*~*Kaage*~*~*)

Lee Mi’s mom leaded me to Lee Mi’s room. I was the last person to see their room because everyone’s room was downstairs.

“This is Lee Mi’s room” She said. I nodded and she knocked.

“Lee Mi?” she began. “Lee Mi?” Lee Mi opened the door.

“Yes mama?” she answered sweetly. Lee Mi glared at me. I started wondering what she thinks of me. She didn’t say anything to me down stair. For all I know it could be something even more terrible than all of them.

“This is Kaage. She will be sleeping with you tonight.” Her mother explained. “Be nice and friendly. No trouble.” Lee Mi’s mom’s hand touched my shoulder. “She really is a good girl once you get to know her.” She has so much faith in her little girl. I nodded.

“I believe so too.” I agreed.

Lee Mi’s mom removes her hands from my shoulder and shoved me in the room. Then slammed the door and left. Lee Mi stared at me. I looked around the purple and pink room.

“I like your room” I commented, trying to break the silent. Trying but failing terribly. Lee Mi remained silent.

“Uhm, where should I put my stuff?” I asked. Lee Mi pointed to a corner. “Where will I sleep?” I questioned. She points to the same exactly corner. “Okay then, thanks” I answered, smiling. Lee Mi shook her head, climbed on into her bed and started combing her dolls hair. I sat in the corner. I pull out a brush, a blanket and my weapons from my bag. Yes, sadly, that’s all I brought.  I got some kunai from Akinori before we came here so it’s not really mine; just the brush and the blanket. I sighed. I wonder if my mom is looking for me yet.

“Take off those things on your head.” Lee Mi said, without looking at me. She got my attention quick.

“What?” I asked.

“Those ears on your head… Take them off.” Lee Mi demanded.

 “I can’t?” I replied, a bit confused.

“Why not?” Lee Mi questioned, looking at me with hate in her eyes. “Because, they’re real” I answered.

Suddenly, Lee Mi came to me, as quick as her little feet can take her and touched my ears. She pulled them, which hurt. I slapped her hands.

“Stop!” I yelled. She sat a few inches away.

“They’re real.” She muttered.

“Yeah! Ouch… Why would I lie to you?” I questioned. Lee Mi curled into a ball. “Everyone lies to me… I’m sorry.” Lee Mi walked to her bed.

I stared at her. What she mean that everyone lies to her? “What are you?” Lee Mi went back to brush her doll’s hair.

“What you mean?” I was now rubbing my head.

“I mean, you have ears on your head. You’re not human, so what are you?” Lee Mi explained. I nodded.

“A neko; the last of my kind.” Lee Mi looked at me.

“What’s a neko?”

I sighed. She doesn’t know what happen. I thought about it for a moment then it hit me, she way too young to remember. She was even born when it happen. That makes sense.

She stared at me with curious eyes. “It’s people who are born half human and half animal. It could be any animal.” I responded.

“So what’s your animal?”  She jumped.

“A wolf” I replied. She nodded again. Then when back to brushing her doll’s hair.

That wasn’t strange. I set my blanket near the corner. There were dolls and toys everywhere in this girl’s room. She must be spoil. Well I rather be here than in a cramp room like the boys. Way too much people in one room and not enough air to breathe. Sadly, I want to share a room with Akinori. I doubt nothing would happen but it would be cute to watch him sleep. He is the closest guy who cares about me since I got here… Just like my dad…

There was a knock at the door. It startled me.

“Dinner’s ready” Lee Mi’s mom muttered unclearly behind the door. “What?” Lee Mi’s face change expression.

“She said that dinner was ready.” I translated.  Lee Mi opened the door. “Aren’t you coming?” She asked, and then left the room.

“Good thing I’m hungry” I laughed to myself and headed down the stairs.
