"What are you doing here?" I whispered, my voice suddenly escaping.

She gave me a soft smile. "Willow, I came to apologize."

"I don't want a fucking apology after 9 years!" I balled my fists together, my fingernails digging deeply into my palm.

She seemed hurt but I didn't care. "Willow," She whined.

"Don't 'Willow' me! You missed more than half of my life!" My voice was suddenly raising higher and higher.

"Willow," Anna said calmly. "Listen to what your mother has to say-"

"No, Anna! You don't get it!" I felt frustrated and confused tears well in my eyes. "She was never my mother! She just simply had the title."

Mom's features stayed flat and expressionless. "I know I let you down, but-"

I cleared my throat, a deep pain crawling up my throat but stopping just before it escaped, leaving me heartbroken. "You exceeded the hurting part. You ruined me. I thought for the longest time you left because of me."

She shook her head, her eyes finally showing some type of emotion. "Willow, you were never the problem."

I laughed, annoyed. "Then what was?" I threw my hands in the air.

"I had an affair," She admitted quietly.

My eyes widened. "What?"

"I cheated on your father."

I blinked. "Why?"

She shrugged her shoulders. "Your father and I fought and one night I had a little too much to drink." She bit her bottom lip, her eyes trained on the floor. "After your father found out, we divorced immediately and I left. We both decided it was best that I should leave since he had the better job."

"Leaving you was the hardest thing I've ever done, Willow. But I wanted to make sure you were okay."

I crossed my arms. "Who did you cheat on dad with?"

She sighed. "His name is Rob. We're in the middle of divorce right now."

I laughed. "Wow. We see how shitty you are at relationships."

She ignored this. "We have a little girl, Hannah. You would love her, W." Her green eyes looked into mine thoughtfully as a gear clicked in my head.

"Robin Lee?"

She looked at me confusedly. "Yes. How did you know?"

I blinked rapidly, taking a seat on the couch, just now realizing Anna had left the room. "I met him at the movie tonight. He hired me and my boyfriend to babysit Hannah."

"Oh my." She thought for a moment. "Willow, I truly am sorry for what I did, okay? I know it was the wrong thing to do but I was young and your father and I were not working out."

I nodded slowly. "I forgive you. But I still don't think I'm ready to accept you. What you did to me," I swallowed, tears developing. "scarred me for the rest of my life and will continue to. Don't you understand that? The day you walked out the door is the day I saw how truly weak you are."
