chapter 45

After some minutes,a male nurse came over to me and put me on a wheelchair,he explained that the wheelchair was temporal until my legs no longer ached,i nodded and he wheeled me to a car along side Matilda as we went home .

I was so exhausted as I went home,images of the accident was still fresh to my memory, and as I was  wheeled up the stairs I remembered how happy I used to be climbing those stair cases,well by God's grace that would happen very soon .

"Miss Marlie,where is your room". The male nurse asked as I directed him to my room,whilst Matilda went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast .

Boredom struck me after the nurse left,I had a urge to run around and have fun but I was stuck to this wheelchair,oh darn it .in the midst of my thoughts Matilda came in looking excited as she carried the plates towards me .

"Guess what Marlie". She asked.

"Oh Matilda have pity on me ,this is not the right time to do guessing games". I pleaded.

"Oh gosh Marlie you're such a bore". That word surprised me ,I used to make that statement when referring to Mr Cole,but anyway .

"Whatever Marlie ,well the truth is Mr Cole's here". She added.

"And so...........". I said as I rolled my eyes.
During our discussion,a blued eyed man came in looking so guilty .I quickly sat up straight on the wheelchair .

"Mr Cole you're here,I thought you were supposed to be---------

" I know Marlie but I couldn't leave you alone here at home ".he interrupted .Matilda quickly stood and left like she was being pursued and as she was about to go she turned around and winked at me .I found it rather strange as I turned my eyes back to Mr Cole .

"Marlie". He called as he bowed to my knees and rubbed my feet, I groaned a little out of the pains I felt as he rubbed them the more .

"Does it hurt". He asked as he continued rubbing my ankles and I nod .

"You'll be fine Marlie ,by the time am done massaging your leg".I took a quick glance at him,did I just hear him correctly was he really going to massage my legs.

"Yes Marlie ". He said as if he had read my thoughts, he reached out for a first aid kit ,and brought out a pain reliever as he took some out of the tube and massaged my legs,it felt so good .

"Mr Cole I didn't know you were so good at massaging". I said,surprised at the ease I felt as he continued massaging .

"There are many things you don't know about me Marlie". He added as looked at me.
I quickly looked away and made contact with anything but him,I didn't want to bear falling for him again and being heartbroken,I already have so much am bordered about anyway ,like my dad's frequent plea for revenge,I didn't want to waste my time dreaming of what would never happen between me and Mr Cole instead I wanted to face reality with a smile .

"Am making dinner today ,Marlie and it would be nice if you join me". He continued as he rubbed my leg.
