"Yes,can I help you". Marlie said trying to cover the tears in her eyes.

But she wasn't able to hide her tears as the man before her already knew why she was crying." Am sorry do I know you".she said

"Am the police officer that arrested your father,we need your statement". He said.

She couldn't take it anymore how could he arrest her father without any evidence and then want her statement, didn't he have any shame or couldn't he see her tears .Even though she felt this way she didn't say a word .she got up and followed him,like an helpless convict.
