Chapter 26

Naruto sighed as she sat on the ground, staring at the ocean in front of her, she caress the sand gently.

Currently, they are in the land of wave where a report of men asking anyone of the Necklace of Eternal Life. They were a step behind and when they got in wave, those man already disappeared.

"Naruto... Are you alright?" Kiba asked as he walked over with Akamaru

"I'm fine" Naruto said

"No you're not. Your scent literally radiates of depression and longing. You really missed Gaara" Kiba said, Naruto sighed

"Am I really that obvious?" Naruto asked, Shino whom over heard it walked over

"It's very obvious. Why? Because you're subconsciously leaking out your chakra, it sends some kind of pulse like wave that affects my bugs" Shino said, Naruto took a deep breath and heave a sigh

"Naruto, I know I'm not the best guy friend you have. I am really sorry of how I treated you in the past. I was a complete arrogant jerk. I did not know the consequences of what my words could possibly effect people around me." Kiba said, Naruto glanced at the Inuzaka

" You know, you really don't have to apologies. I was just being a baby and cry out my problems" Naruto said

"No. There is no need for you to swallow other's mistake. I was really stupid at time. Saying that it's better to not have parents at all, I was envious on how you were so free to do anything. Anything that a naive little child wanted. I never knew how hard it really is until I lived on my own, it was difficult for me and I was already 20 at that time. So I thought, if someone like me who had a job and money could still have a hard life despite have some small allawances from my mother, how much more if I was a toddler and not to mention the villagers unjust prejudice on you. It must have been very hard for you. And then I realised how much of a bastard I really was. I'm really sorry Naruto" Kiba said sincerely, Naruto smiled

"Me too Kiba. I am sorry too" Naruto said

"What are you apologising for?" Kiba asked, Naruto laughed and shrugged

"No reason. You too Shino, I am sorry for ignoring you. Its not like I hate you" Naruto said, Shino gave a nod

"You were a great comrade Naruto. There is no need to be sorry" Shino said

"You guys rest. I'll keep watch tonight first" Naruto waved them off, giving an expression that says 'I want to be alone'

"Naruto, you haven't eaten dinner yet. Here" Ino walked over and handed the cup ramn to Naruto who took it gratefully

"Thanks" Naruto smiled

"I'm really sorry about my fault and how I acted to you in the past. I really regret it" Ino said, Naruto only smiled.

"Its fine. Let's put it behind us" Naruto said

"You missed him... Gaara, I mean" Ino said

"I do actually. I like him. I'm just sad that I realised that too late to even tell him" Naruto said, Ino sighed

"I heard Gaara likes looking at the sky" Ino began

"The moon and stars specially. We usually gazes at them when he finished his Kazekage duties" Naruto said

"It will make you feel better. Talk to it" Ino suggested.

Naruto glanced at Ino then back at the beautiful full moon.

" Thanks for the advice, Ino chan" Naruto said gratefully

"I did not expect you to sing. I'm really touched. Don't let him go Naruto. I know you will have lots of love rivals. But we cannot lose to them and we fight for our men!" Ino joked, Naruto laughed

"I know! I will take you up on that, Ino chan, ttebayo" Naruto said and looked up at the moon

"I'm coming for you Gaara, just hold on a little bit longer" Naruto said in determination.
