Dedicated to fluorescentheart 'Cause her comment made me laugh, as weird as that may sound. :)

Random Story Ad I made on the side because I got way too bored.

I stop to catch my breath,

And I stop to catch your eye.

No need to second guess,

That you've been on my mind.

I dream days away,

But that's okay.

~Only Fooling Myself- Kate Voegele

"I'm gonna die. I'm gonna die. I'm gonna die," I chanted under my breath as I approached Kallie's door, realizing far too late that this could possibly result in injury. I knew she probably wouldn't intentionally hit me or do any damage to my body, except maybe my ears. They were a different story.

"You know, for someone who's typically cheery, you're kind of morbid," said a familiar voice. I looked up to see Kaden exiting Kallie's room, staring at me with a raised eyebrow.

"I am not!" I protested. "It's just- I just- Ugh, never mind!" I exclaimed, turning to stomp away. Unfortunately, my dramatic escape was ruined by Kaden.

"Wait! Don't you need to talk to Kallie?" he called after me. I froze when I realized he was right. Well, there goes my dramatic exit. Fighting to keep the red off my cheeks, I turned back and stomped towards Kallie's door. As I passed him, I heard him chuckle under his breath and turned to glare at him.

      "It's not funny!" I exclaimed.

Kaden shook his head. "Only you, Sunshine, only you," he remarked before walking away. Oh, okay, Kaden, go ahead, talk in riddles. I scoffed and entered Kallie's room, muttering about her annoying, confusing, arrogant devil of a brother under my breath while glaring at Kallie's soft off-white carpeting.

"Hey, any reason why you're Raine-cursing Kaden and trying to burn a hole in my carpet?" Kallie asked. What the…? Raine-cursing? What's that supposed to mean? Her comment made me temporarily forget about what I had been mumbling about a moment ago as I stared at her confused.

      "Raine-cursing?" I asked, in a 'do-I-even-want-to-know?' tone.

Kallie shrugged, rolling over on her bed to lie on her back, flipping through a magazine. "Well, you hardly ever curse, and you use random words to substitute for it, so I just call it Raine-cursing," she explained. I felt my lips twist into a slight frown as I considered her words. It's just not cursing! There's nothing wrong with not cursing. Wait. Shoot. What if I land a role in a movie that involves- Whoa. Back up. I didn't know if I could even land a role in a movie. My inner ramblings suddenly reminded me of why I came to talk to Kallie in the first place.

I gulped slightly before walking over and taking a seat beside her. "Kal, I need your help," I said slowly, looking anywhere but her curious hazel eyes.

Kallie sighed and her mouth twisted up into a half-smile. "Alright, what happened now?"

"Nothing major. I just... I got... Um," I hesitated, wondering just how bad of an idea this was and how mad she could get.

"Just spit it out, Raine, I promise I won't get mad," Kallie said, rolling her eyes.

"WellIkindofappliedforatheatreschoolinEnglaneforsenioryear," I replied in a rush. Kallie froze over the magazine and turned to stare at me.
