Collage of pictures of how I imagined Raine and Kaden when they were younger (kid couples are freakig adorable, okay? I couldn't resist!) --->

Dedicated to PinkAngel22, because her comment made me smile for ten minutes straight. :)

My heart is melting,

'Cause you're hot like the summer heat.

Tonight is all we got,

And there's no time to stop,

And think about the:

Should we or should we not

~Summer Girls- Stereos

"How much longer?" Kaden asked for the fifth time that hour.

I rolled my eyes. "Shouldn't I be the the one asking that?" Kaden just shrugged and shot me a cheeky smile in reply.

"You know we're already in LA, right?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

He turned to look at me incredulously, "We are? How do you know?"

"Well, according to the GPS, the instructions, oh and I don't know, the huge green sign we passed five minutes ago, yes, we are," I responded.

"I always thought the 'Welcome to Los Angeles' sign was orange. Someone told me that a bunch of people spray painted it and showed me a picture," Kaden commented. Oh my god. Seriously? I swear this guy will be the death of me.

"Okay, Kaden, let me introduce you to something called The Point. You are missing it." Again, Kaden didn't reply. Instead he slows down and pulled onto the shoulder of the more or less deserted road.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

      "Pulling over," he replied simply.

"Let me rephrase my question, why are you doing that?" He turned the engine off, but left the keys in the ignition.

"Because," he said, smiling a smile that was scarily similar to the one Kallie got when she was going to do something evil. "It's time to wake up the others."

I winced, "I think I know what you're going to do."

Karen chuckled. "Guess I'm just that predictable. You're gonna drive, by the way," he said, unbuckling his seatbelt and getting out of the car. "You know, that's your cue to say 'Okay' and start getting out of the car too," he added, poking his head back in when he saw me hesitate. I rolled my eyes, but did as he said.

I walked around the front of the car and got into the driver’s seat as Kaden got in the back. His eyes met mine through the rear-view mirror. “You can start driving,” he instructed.

“There are only four seats in the back,” I pointed out.

“Thank you, Captain Obvious,” Kaden replied, rolling his eyes. Okay, yeah, I should’ve expected that. Kaden wasn't exactly a rule follower; of course he wasn't going to be bothered that there wouldn't be a seat or a seatbelt for him. "Drive," He ordered.

"I have a bad feeling about this," I muttered under my breath, but did, in fact start the car.

"Just breathe, Sunshine, nothing's going to happen. The road's abandoned," Kaden said, trying to be reassuring.
