Chapter 56: All is Well?

I can't believe this. It is a debut contract in front of me. A debut contract. I know that this day will come, since I am a trainee now, and they confirmed my debut already. But... when the paper is really there, placed in front of you... I know that you will...

"Look at her face," Park Jin Young laughed so hard, followed by that man and Se Young unnie.

I stared at the three of them blankly. I know that my face probably looked stupid or pale, but.. I can't think anymore.

"Okay, Park Hee Young, now please read the terms and the condition, before you sign this," Park Jin Young smiled at me, "This is the contract. You can read this first and tell us your decision in a week. It is totally fine, but if you want to sign it now, it will be better,"

Gosh, I shook my head quickly. I don't have to think again! This is why I came here, leaving my family, friends, school. To be here. To be a trainee. To debut. To be a singer. To be an idol.

"You will have to dye your hair back before the debut," Park Jin Young said to me, "The concept for you is a simple innocent girl, who's new to the world, new to love and new things. Just like IU's first debut concept. Better keep it that way,"

I nodded in agreement. I love my hair now, but I have to follow JYP.

I read more. I will have to live in the dorm after the debut, and of course I can go home when I have free time, but I think I will be extremely busy after the debut.

"Sir, may I ask what 'maleficent' means for my stage name?" I stared at him, looking at him in wonder, "Maleficent means a destroyer, a devil, doing harm. Why my stage name is like that?"

"Embrace means the good side of you. I remember how everyone was captivated with your voice during the audition. You can be so beautiful while singing. But I don't want a truly show an innocent side of yours. Like Swan Lake, I want another part, another side of you that showed everyone that you are strong, you can be dominant, you can be powerful. Maleficent may sound bad or evil, but I want to make you look strong, but in a beautiful way,"

I didn't move at all. That was probably the best stage name I could ever ask.

"If you don't like the name, we can do some changes with the 'M' letter," Se Young unnie added, but I quickly shook my head.

"No, no, no, it's per-FECT! I love it! Please let me have it," I quickly said in a very weird tone, adding a pressure in the 'perfect', making everyone laughed again.

Park Jin Young stared again at me, smiling, "There will be more explanations with the salary and more, so feel free if you want to think again about it,"

I finally can smile, "No, I want to sign it now. I've made my mind,"

Se Young unnie smiled at me, giving me a pen.

I took the pen, now looking down, staring at the paper, while praying in my heart. This is what I wanted. This is like a dream came true.

I am going to sign with JYP Entertainment! FOR REAL!
