Either way guys, enjoy the read! Sorry 'bout the wait!

Your eyes fluttered open slightly, breathing still hurt a bit and your chest was still clenched tight. You weren't really sure just what you were looking at, shapes blurred together and colors filled the space above you.

"(Name)?" Vaguely your mind pieced together the voice as Kain's. You felt a tight squeeze on your hand, willing you to stay conscious. You turned your head slowly towards the side where you felt the squeeze. Your vision cleared up ever so slightly, and you could recognize general shapes close to you.

You could see Kain hovering above you, and his eyes were bloodshot. The purple line from him was gone, but a dark blue shade hovered over him like a shadow- guilt.

I'm glad he's back to normal.

"Kain..." You licked your dry lips, "Don't beat yourself up, I'm fine." You barely managed to smile at him. This is the Kain that ate breakfast with you at a café, the one that let you and your friends tag along in the rough environment of an unfamiliar world.

But, the Kain in front of you blurred ever so slightly, your heart gave out a few weak pangs. You closed your eyes again, letting the darkness take you.

How much time had passed since you were conscious? You couldn't say. The next time you woke up, your head was a lot clearer and you could feel your heart beating its usual rhythm inside your chest. Looks like you managed to avoid death again. I'm surprised that I did it again... Your eyes flickered open and you looked up at the lights above you.

"You're awake." You jumped at the sound of Rai's voice.

"Come on Rai, give a girl a warning." You let out a sigh, pressing your hand to your heart. You waited for a response, but you didn't get one. You started to push yourself up when you felt a hand on your back, supporting you. You turned your head slightly towards the silver haired boy with the bright aquamarine eyes. "Rai...?" It was him wasn't it? He had the same eyes, the same voice, and the same hair (though slightly longer than you remember), it had to be Raito.

"Is that what you want to call me?"

"Isn't it what I always call you?" You frowned. Something in your stomach told you that you weren't going to like the answer.

"Not necessarily Miss (Name)." He pulled his hand back when you were sitting up properly.

"(Name)... Just (Name)," you corrected,

"(Name)." Your name even rolled off his tongue the same way it used to, but why did it hurt so damn much?

"So what do you remember?"

Keep it together, keep it together, keep it together. Your fists clenched tightly around the blanket that fell to your lap, and you begged for your eyes to stay dry.

He pursed his lips, eyes watching your reaction as he answered.

"I have no memories at all, (Name)."

His face in front of you blurred, you looked down, hot tears streaming down your cheeks. There was only so much that a girl could take at a time. You wanted to ask him something, anything, to fill the silence since you knew he was still staring at you. You realized that you couldn't say anything as warm tears slipped down your cheeks and soft sobs cut through your throat.
