Chapter 32

Maggie's POV:
I feel a hand softly caressing my cheek. My palms are lying on something warm. I slowly stroke over it. "Hmm I like that." I hear a deep voice chuckle.

What? Shawn? I slowly open my eyes to see him. Shirtless. I feel my cheeks turn red. He smiles and pulls me closer. "Good morning sleepyhead." he mumbles. I just look at him confused. What is he doing here?

He drove home yesterday. Shawn chuckles at my reaction and suddenly he learns in. As our lips almost touch I feel something on my cheek again. I open my eyes to see Muffin on my chest and a paw on my face. I sigh.

It was just a dream. She licks over my nose causing me to laugh. "Good morning cutie." I say taking her into my arms. She purrs happily. I put her down again and get ready for school. After eating cereals, I put my jacket on and start to walk to school. I know I could also drive but a little bit of walking doesn't hurt.

The cool wind blows, making me shiver. It's pretty cold outside already and the dense fog clouds my view. I hear cracking behind me. I turn around but see nothing. Okey that's creepy. I start to walk again but a few moments later I hear the cracking a second time.

I feel a hand on my shoulder causing me to scream. "Hey Maggie." Jackson chuckles. "That's not funny!" I mutter annoyed. "Sorry. Anyways are you feeling better?" he asks, walking beside me. "Yeah I'm better." he nods smiling. We walk in silence for a few minutes.

"Can I ask you something?" Jackson questions
and looks at me worried. I just nod, waiting for him to continue. "What were you doing out there so late?" I sigh not wanting to answer. "Why do you want to know?" I hiss at him.

"Because I care about you Maggie. If you believe it or not." he answers. "It was about Shawn right?" he adds smirking. "I don't know what you mean." I mumble waking faster. He runs after me and stops me by taking my arm.

"Come on I'm not blind. I know that you like him. You can tell me but don't say he rejected you." He says raising his eyebrow acting shocked. I chuckle at him. I don't know why but I kind of trust him. I tell him what Leah said. I hope I don't regret this.

"Oh... and are you sure she's saying the truth?" he asks. "Ehm yes I am, why would she lie to me?" I state. "Well I don't know but he seemed pretty worried when you had the accident. He even cried." "Yeah well we are best friends. I hope that he was worried." I sigh. "You know what. I'm going to find out who he likes." he says proudly.

"And how are you going to do that Adams? Just ask him? He won't tell you. Or are you to secretly best friends?" I laugh. "No we aren't but you know Michael's throwing a party tomorrow night, right?" he asks. I nod. "You have two options. You are going to tell him that you like him or we are going to make him jealous." Jackson grins.

"I definitely not going to tell him that I like him and how can I make him jealous if he loves someone else?" I ask frustratedly waving my hands around. "Maggie listen." Jackson says and stops me, holding both of my shoulders.

"If you don't want to tell him, we are going to look if he gets jealous. If he does, he likes you and if not, then we know that he doesn't like you." he says shrugging. "Thanks that's truly encouraging. I'll think about it." I sigh. He smiles at me patting my shoulder. We arrive at school and head to our classes.

Finally the lunch break rings but that also means I have to see Shawn again. I open the large doors, get a sandwich and a water and walk over sit down at our table. Luc and Aiden are already there waving at me. "Hey boys." I greet them. "Where are the others?" I ask confused.

"Umm... Shawn had to do something but I don't know where Leah is." he says. Okey? "Do you know where Leah is?" I grin at Aiden and he starts to slightly blush. He shakes his head and continues to eat. After a while I see Leah walking in but she just takes something to eat and walks out again. What's wrong with her?

"Guys I forgot a book, I'll go and get it." Aiden says and walks out. "Yeah sure he forgot a book." Luc chuckles. I laugh. "So you also think that he likes Leah?" "I know that he likes her." he says smiling.

After lunch I walk to my locker. I see Shawn walking around the corner. I start to smile and walk towards him.
