Chapter 16

Maggie's POV:
"Maggieeeeee" I hear someone screaming. I sigh putting a pillow over my head. "Ouch"I groan as Melody jumps on top of me. " Wake uuuup" she squeals pulling my pilllow away. "Mhmmm" I mumble turning over.

I hear nothing for a few seconds thinking she left my room again. Suddenly my blanket gets pulled away. "Mellyyy." I whine. "Breakfast is ready!" she shouts running of my room again. After a few minutes I manage to get out off my bed and head into the bathroom. I look into the mirror. Nope. Today is not my day.

I look horrible. My hair is standing out in all directions. I have dark circles under my eyes and I look as pale as a vampire. Maybe I shouldn't have watched The Waking Dead till three in the morning. I put my hair into a high ponytail and add a bit make up to look fresher. I put on a hoodie and leggins. "Good morning!" my aunt sings. Way to happy for 7am I think while sitting on a stool at the kitchen counter.

Thank god Aron is at work. "Why the long face?" she asks chuckling while putting a plate of pancakes in front of me. "I'm so tired." I mumble taking a bite. "Well when you are watching Netflix series the whole night you can't complain!" she laughs. I smile finishing my breakfast. Taking my school stuff I head out of the door. As I start to walk, I see a car pull up beside me. "Hello project partner." Jackson says. What does he want now?! I'm not in the mood today.

"Hop in. I'll drive you to school." he smiles. What no stupid comment? Wow did someone brainwash him? "No, no one brainwashed me. Now get in." he laughs. Upps did I think that out loud? I get into the car and immediately put my headphones in. He's the last person I want to talk to right now.

I could feel his gaze on me every once in a while. Suddenly he takes my headphones out making me look at him. "Not very talkaktive today huh? He chuckles. I shake my head putting my headphones in again. He looks at me one more time but doesn't say anything anymore. After a while the car stops.

We are in front of a little cafe and not the school. "What are you doing we will be late!" I say. "Come on Maggie you don't look ready for school. We'll just skip the first lesson." He says, making a puppy eye look. I try to hold back but laugh at the sight of it.

"I just made you laugh." He smiles proudly as he opens the car door and walks out. What is wrong with him today? "Did you take something? You being nice is creepy?" I ask following him. He just shakes his head grinning while walking towards the entrance.

We talk and laugh for a while. He's actually really nice and I also learned that he broke up with Stefanie two weeks ago but she can't accept it. That's why she extra mean to me. Later he drives us to school and we head to our classes.
