Chapter 47: Christmas Pt. 2

My hands are shaking violently. He is sitting there. Awake. Alive. Laughing at something that the nurse had said to him. I collapsed to the floor, tears streaming down my face. I couldn't move. I couldn't get up. Relief had just washed over me and I was so thankful. When I collapsed, Colby's eyes averted to the door, looking from me, to Sam. Sam had his hand over his mouth and quickly walked up to hug Colby. (A/N Kinda like the best friend killed prank) His face was bright pink while Colby held on to same, gently patting his back. When Sam had let go of Colby, he came back to help Landon pick up my hot mess of a self off the floor and carry me to Colby. Once they stood me up, I rushed out of their arms and into the ones of the blue eyes boy. I let the tears of relief slip from my eyes as Colby held onto me. "I see you gave her the record player." Colby says to Sam whilst letting go of me. "Is it christmas already?" He asks and I nod. I couldn't stop smiling. My cheeks hurt. He shuffled over and I comforted myself next to him while he put his arm around me. His arm was warm and I couldn't stop smiling. Nothing could make me in a bad mood right now. "You were out for a month Colby. We thought you were going to..." I say, not finishing the sentence. I dig into the pile of presents that was beside his bed and handed him my presents. He opened it and smiled, pulling the beanie over his head. He looked like Colby again.  When he hugged me, thank you, the door burst open and there was the rest of the house. Their faces were overwhelmed with joy and happiness. He gave them all hugs and they picked up their packages that I had put on the table and gave them to him. "When did you get all these here?" Corey asks. I smile. "After I got ready, I knew I was going to spend the day at the hospital so I grabbed the presents so Colby would be festive ish besides the few decorations they had put up around the hospital." They laughed. A nurse came in to check him and give him his medicine for the day. "Excuse me nurse, But when will Colby be able to come home?" Elton asked. The nurse thought for a second before responding. "Im not entirely sure, we will need the doctor to come in and make a final verdict but from his current condition, maybe tomorrow or a day or so. We spent the rest of the day in the hospital with Colby. I eventually fell asleep on the hospital bed, next to Colby. It was the first night I had slept peacefully in what felt like forever.

I know that this is kinda lame but I am trying to think of what more I can write. I had a few ideas but I might make a one shot book with a few of those ideas. And enter the comp! :D
