It was Dylan's birthday. During school she, Alex, Juliet, and Brandon celebrated a bit with the boys who came during lunch. And it was also the Spring Dance. Normally she didn't care much for dances until she started dating Brandon. Some girls at school also figured out that she, Juliet, and Alex were friends with Louis, Niall, Harry, Liam, and Zayn and begged them to get One Direction to perform at the dance. They were already going to the dance with the girls as their guests so they figured, what the heck?

Not just that, but Zayn and Niall were Juliet and Alex's dates. It took Niall a while to get rid of his nervousness around Alex to ask her to the dance, but he did it.

The first few songs they played that night were they fast, upbeat songs. The first one being, obviously, What Makes You Beautiful. Then Up All Night and One Thing. After that, Zayn and Niall got off stage to dance to a slow song with Juliet and Alex. Which left Louis, Harry, and Liam to sing. The first few notes to I Wish started to play. The couples began to slow dance.

Since Zayn wasn't performing, Louis began the song.

He takes your hand, I die a little.

I watch your eyes, and I'm in riddles.

Why can't you look at me like that?

Liam began his verse.

When you walk by, I try to say it.

But then I freeze and never do it.

My tongue gets tied, the words get trapped.

Then Harry.

I hear the beat of my heart getting louder

The three of them sang the next part.

But I see you with him slow dancing.

Whenever you kiss him, I'm breaking.

Oh how I wish that was me.

He looks at you the way that I would.

Does all the things I know that I could.

If only time could just turn back

Dylan looked to the stage and saw Louis's eyes on her. He sang the next line alone.
