He gives me a warm smile, "mrs. Mackinlay your babies are perfectly healthy from what we could tell from the quick ultrasound. Luckily your husband informed us that you are pregnant when we called your emergency contacts."

Oh thank goodness. I release the breath I've been holding. My babies are oka-"babies?" I look at the doctor in shock.

"yes I'm happy to announce your having twins. Congratulations mr. and mrs. Mackinlay."

I look over at Caelan who looks just as shocked as I do.

"why are you so surprised? Didn't he tell you?" I ask Caelan in a daze still stunned from the news.

The doctor answered for him I thought it was best to inform you both at the same time, was I wrong?" "no, no its okay?" I murmur weakly dismissing his concern.

I turn to look at the doctor again he's giving a warm smile when he takes a peek at his watch. "a nurse will be here shortly to take you to get more X-rays, I'm going to go check on some more patients but I'll be back to check on you afterwards."

He quickly leaves to go do what doctors do.

I look at Caelan again and we're both still pretty shell shocked.

Maybe I should tell him the babies are his too?

It's not like I have any real justification to keep him away from his children.

Considering how he's handle this whole situation proves he'll be an amazing father.

Maybe I underestimated him?

I open my mouth to blurt out their his babies too, but "so Rosie dear twins hey?"U

I look over at my grandmother to see a huge grin on her face as if she was just given the moon.

I think that might even be a mr grinch I just stole Christmas smile. I wonder what she's thinking.

She just continues on, "so not only am I getting one grand-baby! I'm getting two." she claps in excitement.

She gets up in her excitement only for something to fall to the floor creating a thud as it drops.

She bends to pick up what ever fell, only for me to see a cross in her hand as she stands back up.

A small smile played on my lips, "so grams what types of prayers did you say today to have a cross that big?"

She looks down at the cross in her hands that's about two feet in length.

She looks up at me with a Cheshire grin running across her face from ear to ear. "oh you know yours and the babies health, protection, family, and of course the cleansing of your husbands soul and his dirty mouth. You should have heard the profanities he was yelling when you were out." she pauses as she takes a deep breath from her speach and continues, "and if I had some soap mixed with holy water I would have washed his mouth out myself!"

"I just don't get this old hags deal." I hear Caelan muttering in his chair in the corner

She takes an indignant sniff.

"maybe I should hire an exorcist and get him exorcised for the demon he is." shes muttering in her corner.

While I'm snickering at both their comments the nurse comes in smiling at us. "hello mrs. Mackinlay we're ready to bring you down to get your X-rays done."
