Mud

Y/n's POV

I walk into the hospital room after giving Hayden to Owen. Nic is laying beside Payton with his arm around her. I slightly smile and sit in one of the chairs. I grab Nic's phone. His lock screen is of Payton and Hayden and his home screen is of me and him.I smile. I put it down and grab mine.
My lock screen is of me and him in high school ,covered in mud and my home screen is of him holding Payton when she was born. I smile and put my hand on my cheek. I stare at the picture of me and Nic.

*flashback

Nic steals my phone. I jump on him.
"Stop!" I push him into the mud and he holds my phone up. I lay on him and grab my phone. He smiles and looks at me. He splashes mud on me. I throw my phone over onto the grass and sit in his stomach. I cup my hands and get mud. I pour it on his face. He growls. I giggle. I stand up. He stands up and grabs my phone. He unlocks it and kisses my cheek. He takes a picture. My eyes widen. He smiles and hugs me. I lay my head on his shoulder.

End of flashback *

I wipe away a tear and bring my knees to my chest. I smile and lay my head back. "I love you" Nic glances at me. I nod. "I love you too"
