"Joey, Dylan will never be ours, Morgan and Sawyer have a point and it's their baby, they decide what to do with it," I said, sitting down on the couch and looking out the window, into the traffic below. It was hot today, and these days made me want to move back to Maryland, it was spring, and it would be cool there, not 100 degrees.
"I know, Lauren, I just really wanted him to be ours, he would've bonded us closer," Joey said, and my heart automatically stopped in my chest. I felt the butterflies swirl in my stomach and the thought of Joey and I working on our relationship and bonding truly excited me.
"I know, Joey, but maybe we can get a dog or something to bond with." I suggested. I had always wanted a dog, but my parents never allowed me to have one. But now that Hitch and Cody were in the other apartment and I was spending more time with Joey here this could really work. Joey nodded and smiled.
"Yes!" Joey said, "a dog would be awesome. What kind? We should start looking!"
"SCHNOODLE!" Lauren screamed and both of them laughed.
