Chapter 44

(Y/N) P.O.V
I practically ran to Pops, I could feel my legs aching but I didn't care. I stopped to catch my breath when I saw the dinner, the neon Pops sign was brightly lit (not that kind of lit) as usual. I walked in and saw Veronica smiling at a booth sipping a milkshake, that wasn't strange no the strange part was that she was by herself.

I walked over and sat across from her needing to take a break before going to my next destination wherever that may be.
"Hey (Y/N) she said with a coy smile she knew something was up
"Are you in on it too? Veronica what is going on?" I asked Veronica didn't say anything she just reached into her purse and pulled out a folded piece of paper and slide it across the table.
"I'll give you a minute" she got up leaving her milkshake half empty and walked towards the bathroom.

Veronica's P.O.V
When I got to the bathroom I checked under all the stalls to make sure I was alone then I dialled Jugheads number
"Hello?"
"I just gave her my letter"
"How is she?"
"Confused mostly, she also looks tired probably because you sent her on a goose chase all over town"
"Yeah I didn't think that far though"
"Jughead!"
"Relax she's almost done" I sighed
"Where does she go next?" I asked there was silence on the other end
"Really your not gonna tell me?"
"You'll figure it out it's all in the letter, text me when she's leaving Pops"
"Why? And why did you tell me to call you when she came"
"It's important Veronica just trust me" I sighed
"Fine but this better work"
"It will"I hung up then walked back out hoping (Y/N) is still there.

(Y/N) P.O.V
When Veronica left I immediately opened the piece of paper
(Y/N)
If your reading this then that means that your almost done and that your willing to hear me out. Before I explain the importance of your location please don't hassle Veronica she is just in the dark as you are, same with Betty. Only  Archie knows the full plan and don't even bother to ask him I have him sworn to secretary that he won't tell you.

Now you probably already figured it out but in case you haven't each location is important to me, they are all my favourite places in this town. All because of you (Y/N) I have nothing but good memories about each of the locations and this one isn't any different. Pops was the place where we would go if one of us was sad and needed a hug, where we would go to district ourselves from reality. It was our safe spot as teenagers, it's also the spot where we met again after being apart. Pops shares a special place in my heart not just because of the burgers but because of you. When I think of home and safely I think of you and I was a idiot not to tell you that sooner. You have one more spot to go to sweet water river, one more person will be there.

Love Jughead

I smiled when I fished it and put the letter away with the rest of them. I herd  footsteps and looked up to see Veronica  coming back to the booth.
"Did you read it?" She asked I nodded
"And??" I smiled
"Sweet water river that's my last stop"
"What's going to happen there?" she asked
"I have no idea" I meant it to Jughead was probably going to be waiting for me there.

Now that I had time to stop I started to think, what will happen at the river? Why did he send me there? What will happen? Will he pull out another letter that will make tears fall down my face? Will he have one grand romantic speech that beats all the other ones and I burst into tears right there? My emotions suddenly went from confused to nervous, I was all sweaty from running around town and not even dressed the greatest. Veronica saw my face morph and asked
"(Y/N)? What's wrong?" She asked
"What's wrong is that I look like a mess, I'm all sweaty and just dressed in a t shirt and jeans while Jughead probably will be somehow dressed to the nines at the river and will have this grand romantic gesture and..."

"Woah (Y/N) calm down, now I can't do anything about your wardrobe but that's ok Jughead has never cared about what you look like, you two could go to a 5 star restaurant and you could be wearing sweats and he wouldn't care. Now your apprentice however, that I can help with come on" she took my hand and dragged me back to the bathroom. She took some stuff out of her bag and started to apply some light make up to my face

"I know you don't wear makeup much but trust me Jughead is gonna be shocked when he sees you. All I'm doing is adding some light makeup to highlight your already amazing features." While she did my makeup I said
"Thanks, I never really had much friends who are girls so I don't have much people to go to when it comes to relationships. Betty is my only female friend in Riverdale"
"Well now you have two" I smiled
"Do you think Jugheads plan is crazy?" I asked

"Yep, He told Archie his plan, Archie gave us these letters and he texted me shortly after all the text said was go to Pops after school and wait for (Y/N). He probably sent Betty a really obscure text too. It's a good kind of crazy though a type of crazy that only happens when your in love." I smiled
"Yeah and I love him too, so annoyed I didn't catch on sooner"
"Hey both of you were idiots don't just blame yourself and this is better, now your not leaving so you and Jughead will have a real relationship for however long it lasts"
"I hope it's forever" I replied quietly
"I'm willing to beat it will" Veronica said smiling.
"Ok I'm done" she stepped out of the way and I looked at myself, I was shocked I didn't even recognize myself. She had on some light foundation some eyeliner and mascara and even lipstick.
"There that really makes your wonderful eyes stand out" I turned around from the mirror facing her
"Thanks Veronica, wish me luck" I said walking out the door
"Good luck!" She shouted
Veronica's P.O.V
The minute (Y/N) left the bathroom I got out my phone and sent Jughead a text
(Y/N) is leaving Pops get ready Romeo
