Chapter 36

(Y/N) P.O.V
I sighed as I continued wiping the doodles and scribbles on the bathroom walls. Most of it was just stupid initials of two people with 4ever written below it and a plus between the initials with a heart around it. I rolled my eyes then wiped it away
"Forever? Please more like two weeks" then continued wiping off the walls before continuing to the next bathroom. I only had one more bathroom to do before I could go home. Thankfully that didn't take to long and I was walking home alone since Jughead finished before me, he offered to stay and wait but I told him don't worry about it and sent him on his way home.

I was almost to my house when I saw two officers leaning against the cop car with coffee in their hand, they seemed to be talking about something. I got closer and hid behind a bush to eavesdrop out of curiosity it could be about Jason.

"So who do you think did it?"
"It could be anyone, my bets on the Serpents"
"Why would the Serpents go after a kid?"
"Who knows, maybe the kids got caught up in a deal gone wrong. Why do you have any better theories?"
"No man, I just wish we knew what he was doing at Sweetwater river that day, Cheryl said he was leaving but why? Why would he run away from home"
"Couldn't tell you man" they both took a drink of their coffee and changed subjects. I snuck out of the bush and walked away the cops did have a point, why was Jason running from home? I think that's the best corse of action right now instead of focusing on who focuses on why.

I made my way home thinking of Jason. I didn't know much about him other then he was a jock, if he was planning on crossing the river he must have being planing to leave Riverdale. Why did he want to leave? He was a rich boy who was popular at school and admittedly quite handsome, he dated Betty's sister I would see them around school but they always seemed to be in a loving happy relationship. Besides his family Polly probably knew Jason best so maybe she would have some answers.

If only her parents didn't send  her away, I sighed these things never seemed easy I doubt Betty knew where Polly was and even if she did the mere  mention of Polly made Betty seemed much sadder and I didn't want to upset her. Maybe explaining it to her might help, there's nothing I can do about it today I'm still grounded and forbidden from seeing anyone. Of course I could easily sneak out but this conversation would be better suited at a time when I didn't have to worry about being caught. Maybe I can lend some of my wisdom to my dad and he can pass it to the rest of the police and maybe they can find out where Polly is! I smiled and practically ran the rest of the way home. I opened the door and practically screamed

"DAD? DAD ARE YOU HOME? I HAVE SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO TELL YOU" I ran down the hallway and there was my dad in the living room
"What is it (Y/N)? There's no need to shout"
"No dad listen Jason Blossom his girlfriend was Polly Cooper maybe she knew why Jason was at Sweetwater that day he was shot"
"That's a excellent idea (Y/N) only one problem, we don't know where Polly is we already went down to her house to talk to the Coopers since both of their children went to school with the victim and neither one of them would say where Polly was."
"What? That's crazy! I can do it dad I know Betty I can sneak around in her house I can find a address, overhear a conversation, find something" dad sighed
"(Y/N) appreciate the help but I don't want you to get caught up in this. This is serious one kid already got shot and I don't want you to be the next understand?" I nodded
"Crystal" I turned around and walked up to my room.

I went in the closet and pulled some clothes aside so I could reach the back, I bent down and pulled up a loose floorboard to revel a small case. I opened that case to see a set of spy equipment. Most stuff my dad gave me because it was broken and couldn't work but thanks to the internet I figured out how to work it, granted it took a while and isn't top notch like the stuff they have at the station but I'll take it. I mostly kept it around out of pure interest never planning on actually using it but nows the time. I put the small case into my bag and put the bag back in the hiding place. I went over to my bed and got out my phone to text Betty
Hey when I'm free do you want to have a girls night at your place? I waited for her response which was
Sounds great I'll talk to my mom and see, I'll let you know tomorrow I smiled
Great talk to you then
I wasn't going to let Betty know about my plan right away that would be a weird thing to text hey can we hang out at your place for the night so I can plant spy gear over your house to overhear your parents conversations and also snoop to find out where your sister is being kept? Probably wouldn't go over well I'll explain everything to her tomorrow in private.
Sure let's become secret agents can we be with S.H.I.E.L.D?.... PHIL WHY DID YOU TO DIE IN AVENGERS DESPTIE BEING ALIVE IN AGENTS OF SHIELD SHOW??? *goes over in the corner and cries*
