Chapter 42

Jughead P.O.V
When I woke up I thought everything that happened last night was a dream. I groaned into my pillow when I realized I was wrong, I sat up and realized my laptop was still open. Probably feel asleep with it open, again. I eventually got up and got dressed, have to face the world sometime today don't I? School is gonna be interesting today. I should probably stop by Archie's to apologize and also Betty's while I'm at it.

I herd a knock on the door, confused I went to open it revealing Archie with messy hair, he was still wearing clothes from last night only now their all wrinkled and he looks like he hasn't slept all night.
"Archie I'm.."
"I'm sorry" he said before I could
"No I'm sorry I was upset about last night and I took it out on you and on (Y/N)"
"No you had every right to be mad at me"
"Do you want to come in? I really don't want the whole southside hearing about our friendship problems" Archie laughed before stepping inside
"Listen about what I said last night" Archie said rubbing the back of his head
"Forget it" I said "I said some pretty bad things too let's just chalk it up to a bad night" Archie smiled we looked at each other
"So is this the part where we hug like idiots then pretend it didn't happen 5 seconds later?" I asked
"Looks like it" I rolled my eyes but gave Archie a hug then we pulled away and I cleared my throat then Archie said

"Yeah ok there's also another thing you should know, (Y/N) and I sort of got in a argument too"
"Yeah I herd along with everyone else in town"
"How am I gonna make it up to her?" He asked nervously
"Don't ask me I got my hands full with my apology"
"What do you mean?" Archie asked
"I'm gonna beg for her forgiveness after all and if she wants to be within breathing distance of me I'm gonna take her to Greenwood they have a drive in there and it so happens to be playing her favourite movie tonight"

"Do you need any help?" Archie asked
"Yeah actually look she will probably be avoiding me today at school so if you see her tell her that I'm a idiot and that I wanna talk to her"
"Yeah if she talks to me"
"Right.... ok we're both screwed"
"Do you want me to call Betty or Veronica?" Archie asked
"Please" I responded

On our way to school Archie was one the phone with Betty who agreed that we collectively owe (Y/N) a apology, them for not listing to her and me for being a jerk. We tried to find her before school started but no such luck. I wished my friends good luck then walked down the hall to my class. I wouldn't see (Y/N) until right after lunch or maybe even at lunch where she hopefully wouldn't be avoiding me like the plague.

(Y/N) P.O.V
I sneaked into my class trying to avoid both Jughead and Archie as much as possible. Thankfully I didn't have to see them until the afternoon, for once I was grateful for my schedule. I did however share Chem with Betty and we happened to be partners. I was first to arrive but Betty came in shortly after, she sat down next to me and whispered

"So about last night..."
"Forget it" I said in a stern voice
"No I want to apologize we all need to apologize for not listing to you, you told us that the party was a mistake and we didn't listen because you were right we weren't thinking of Jughead, we were thinking of ourselves and wanting to forget about our own troubles and just be teenagers for one night" I turned to face Betty
"Betty we all have our problems and our issues, but partying and ignoring them isn't going to make them go away, trust me." She nodded
"So we good?"
"Me and you? Betty we were never not good the guys however are a different story"
"Yeah but you'll make up with them" Betty always the optimist

"I don't know Betty I said some pretty rude things to Archie last night and Jughead, oh my god Betty that argument was horrible I feel like he doesn't even know me anymore" Betty put her hands over mine
"But he does he was just upset Jughead loves you I see it everyday, we all see it" I sighed and shrugged
"I don't know Betty" I said then turned to face the window clearly done with the conversation

Betty's P.O.V
Not good, I texted Archie under the table while (Y/N) was looking outside
Just talked to (Y/N) not good
Is she pissed?
No it's worse she thinks you'll never forgive her and that Jughead doesn't know her anymore
Well Jughead has a plan
It better be a good plan
It is it will work... I hope
Before I could text back the teacher walked in and I immediately put away my phone, not wanting to get in trouble.

Archie's P.O.V
I showed Veronica the text, we both had free periods so we met up in the student lounge.
"This is crazy I propose that we just lock them in a closet until they work out their issues" Veronica said
"Let's call that plan B" I said
"Ok then what's plan A?" Veronica asked
"Jughead has this complicated plan it involves notes and gussy stuff"
"Really?" Veronica asked sitting up from the couch
"Yeah he's gonna write out this long letter by hand because apparently that's more personal and put it in her locker and hope she sees it."

"How will he know?"
"She will come to us at some point during this crazy scavenger hunt he's got going on which gives me a chance to apologize to her and then we give her these" I took out two pieces of paper and gave one to Veronica.
"Apparently Jughead was working on this last night, he was researching movies and drive ins and thankfully Greenwood has her favourite movie playing tonight, his ultimate goal is to drive her there with him but first she wants to see for herself just how much Jughead care."
"Henc the big scavenger hunt" Veronica said

"Yeah and we just gotta play our part, even Betty has a piece let's just hope it all goes to plan."
"Jughead could be a serial killer with this elaborate planning he does " Veronica said
Yeah he could, Jughead don't kill people
