HannahSaphira

Name of rider: Tazarlhuin (Usually called Taz)

Age of rider: Only 27 (and looks about 20) he is young for an elf

Hometown: Ellesmera

Celebrity look-a-like: James Franco

Physical description: 6'3 tall, well built, muscular from all his training with curly dark brown hair, prominent cheekbones and deep brown eyes flecked with sparks of orange (an after-effect of when his dragon hatched and the rider-dragon bond occured).

Personality traits: Kindhearted and brave but with a sense of humour, very outgoing for an elf, possibly because his father was human. He was killed by Raz'aac but his mother still lives in Ellesmera. Sometimes he feels a little like an outsider, as the human blood that runs through him makes him different from the other elves. None are unkind to him but occasionally he senses their disapproval, although he does have a few close friends. Since Stormrhûen hatched for him though, people show more respect (and fear) and his bond with Stormrhûen is stronger from the sense of isolation. The two are inseperable and even Arya and Fírnen admire their companionship.

Description of sword (weapon): Owns a sword called Argetblödh (meaning silver blood) which has a thick, silver blade, black handle and a blood diamond surrounded by black pearls encrusted in the hilt. However, his preferred weapon of choice, which the elf blacksmith Rhunön fashioned for him after his talent for archery was discovered is a bow, encased in gold with intricate elven carvings engraved into it and a row of diamonds along each side. It has vast magical properties, such as flaming arrows that will only burn the enemy and an endless replenishing of arrows, given as gifts by the elves, but the most valuable is a spell Taz placed on it himself, with the help of Eragon, which permits only him to use the bow, and any who else who tries to be cursed. The bow is named Arucane, meaning endless fire.

Species: half human, half elf (entered in human category)

Worst fear: Being separated from his dragon Stormrhûen

Name of dragon: Stormrhûen (Normally called Storm)

Description of dragon: She is a dark red with black claws and scales and fiery amber eyes. Storm is the daughter of Thorn, and because of this many people fear and avoid her, believing she and her father were still on the side of Galbatorix. Despite this she is kind and playful and has made a close friendship with Fírnen throughout her and Taz's training (they are personally trained by Arya and Fírnen). Saphira is wary of the closeness between Storm and Fírnen and often gets jealous. However, she secretely admires and respects storm as she is the fastest and most agile of the new hatchlings. In fact, although Saphira and Fírnen would never admit it, Storm would probably best them both in speed. She is a very modest and selfless young dragon, which is rare for a dragon (especially a female one) but this just makes her even more likeable to those close to her. Although she is nearly a year old, Storm is still very small (but strong and still large enough to carry Taz). She enjoys breathing fire, which comes out in bright orange flames, the same colour as her eyes.

Favourite activity/passtime: Taz enjoys flying off to the human settlements near the Spine, especially Palancar Valley, where Roran is always most welcoming, especially as Taz often brings him news of Roran's cousin, Eragon. Taz enjoys the company of humans as he finds them less reserved and easier going. Storm also enjoys the visits as she relishes the long flights and is admired by the people, especially the children who love to sit on her back and play with her tail. Being a patient and gentle dragon, the parents do not mind and all of the villagers love her.

Favourite training activity: They both enjoy speed and agility training and joining their minds during flight. Taz has an uncanny ability to hit every target with his arrows even at great speeds. Arya and Fírnen are impressed with their training as they rely more on speed, agility and accuracy, where many other young male riders would trust their brute strength. They both also enjoy learning magic and are particularly talented in controlling and using fire.
