Sophie:

I was getting ready for the first of three dances; Fitz would be my date. I couldn't ignore the slight tremble of nerves in my stomach as I started getting ready. I couldn't tell if it was the start of something or what I had recently eaten.

I wiggled into my dark blue dress, the committee had finally chosen, and I frowned. I was missing something, it didn't feel right. Then I found it, placed delicately in the box the committee had returned to me, after careful inspection of the dress, there was a little crown and some earrings.

I put on a light layer of lip gloss and Mom did my eyes. It was a little sparkle and some mascara.

"Honey, you look absolutely gorgeous. I want you to know that, no matter what, Grady and I will completely support you in your decision," she said, giving me a hug, and chocking up a little.

"I know mom," I whispered.

With a faint knock, I knew it was time to go

With a faint knock, I knew it was time to go. Fitz was probably waiting for me downstairs.

Biana:

I smiled as I let my hair tumble down in brown waves over the blue fabric of my dress. Dex would arrive shortly, and the mere thought of him coming caused my heart to beat faster. I felt like I was going to be sick with all the butterflies in my stomach.

I was ready to ignore what everyone thought of me tonight as long as it meant I'd get to have Dex by my side

Linh: Fredrick was going to take me to the dance today. To say I was bummed that certain boys hadn't asked me is an understatement. I couldn't believe Fitz would crawl right on back to Sophie after they established they just wanted to be friends.

It's this whole stupid matchmaking list's fault. If she wasn't his number one--I let out a sigh. There's no use in getting upset and jealous over something inevitable. Fitz would go after Sophie, though I'm unsure whether the same feelings were requited.
