"As a kid you were told stories; wonderful and kind, it was the type of stories where millions of questions would fill your mind. The girl and her prince charming, oh how could she be so blind? To me the reality of truth had been told about the lies of mankind, for there was no true prince charming I could truly find. I was hurt, betrayed, and cast aside; and soon rules were set for me to abide? I felt like a part of me had been forgotten and died. It was a type of hatred that built up inside, that with one look at you people would hide. With a new found power, I had risen to the top and people were not fond, for I had created the malevolent bond." -Alara Lavender

-Years before-

My mom's happy expression would lighten a room. I watched as she told me the stories about prince charming. Would I ever find him? Was he real? I had heard the story plenty of times, but it never seemed to get old. My mother had one arm around me as we laid in bed. It was a goodnight story she loved to tell. One I'd never forget.

"The end" my mother said and I smiled quite happy and clapped my hands.

"Again" I replied and one more time, she opened the book and started "Once upon a time..."
