“Geez. If she hadn’t told me, I’d have really thought Claire was cheating on Heath for real.” Tori said as she quickly snapped several photos on the phone that Claire had given her.

Kane was also staring at Claire—who was hugging another guy other than Heath—before he heard the clicking of the phone. Quickly, he looked down at his sister with wide eyes. “Tori! What the hell are you doing?”

Of course, the two of them didn’t listen to Claire and had immediately followed her to see what the rush was all about. They had seen the whole thing but didn’t butt in since they saw that Claire was handling the situation safely.

“I’m doing my job that Claire told me to do.” Tori answered Kane as she saved the photos and rolled her eyes at her brother.

Kane immediately snatched the phone out of her hand and held it up and away from her. “No, you’re not. What you two are doing is ridiculous.”

Tori immediately jumped to try and get the phone, but Kane was ridiculously tall, so her efforts were in vain. However, she couldn’t fail Claire. Tori didn’t know if Claire was hugging that guy seriously or if she was using that opportunity for Tori to take a picture, but it was the perfect chance.

“C’mon, Kane.” Tori begged. “Claire’s depending on me.”

He gave her a flat look, and she took that as a signal that whatever she said, she wouldn’t convince him. That meant there was only one option left.

Tori elbowed her brother in the stomach and he doubled over with a groan. She took that opportunity and snatched the phone out of his hand. And ran for it. Tori quickly found a room that had a lock and entered and locked it before Kane could open the door.

“Tori!” he slammed against the door before warning her, “Don’t you dare. Don’t you dare send those photos.” If Heath saw them…

She paid no attention to the madman and typed a short message to go along with the photos. Then she sent it to Heath’s phone and grinned to herself. Only after she accomplished her mission did she finally open the door.

Kane was standing there with an ice cold glare directed at her.

Tori’s grin widened from her brother’s angry face. “What’re you so angry about, bro? Brighten up, would you?” She patted Kane’s shoulder before chortling as she made her way back to Claire’s office.

Claire and Wyatt decided to go to a more private place as Wyatt calmed down. They entered a lounge room and Wyatt leaned against a table as he took deep breaths. Claire sat on the table and saw that his shoulders were still shaking, so she comforted him by rubbing his back.

At first, the room was silent, but Claire didn’t mind. In fact, she didn’t even care if he didn’t want to discuss what just happened. There was no need to force something like that out of him. After all, it really wasn’t any of her business since it was about him and his family.
