His dark eyes mirrored mine. The air felt thinner as I breathed heavily. Suddenly, I felt the heat sit on the bottom of my stomach. I felt flushed, satisfied, powerful. But I also felt uncomfortable. I felt doubtful, apologetic.

"Uh... I don't know what came over me. I'm sorry." I whispered, feeling ashamed that I lost control like that in front of him. Embarrassment covered my pale cheeks as I took a step back. How could I lose control like that?

Angelo tilted my head up, his eyes meeting mine. "Hey," He caressed my cheek. That action of affection halted the negative emotions stirring on me. "its okay. I wasn't complaining. I liked it, actually." He told me, smirking.

I gaped. "I hope you're not making a sexual remark." He tried to look innocent as he looked away. "Angelo!" I chuckled as I hit his chest.

"Ow!" He tried to look serious but I saw the amusement in his eyes. "Its the first day of our courtship, and your already hitting me!"

I laughed. "Courtship! Thats so 18th century."

He pulled me into his chest, halting my laughs. He narrowed his eyes playfully. "Are you mocking me? Disrespecting the Alpha has consequences."

"And who said your Alpha?" I smirked as I leaned up so that my lips were an inch from his. "I'm the dominant one in this relationship, you hear me, Alpha." I joked. Yeah right. We all know who's the dominant. But hell will break lose of he thinks I'm going to play the submissive role. Hell to the no. I'll rather see my immortal body rot before that happens.

"Oh really?" He whispered. "Well no kisses for you." He declared as he pulled back completely from me. I gaped.

"You're not serious?"

He smirked. "Oh I'm dead serious." Oh the irony.

I crossed my arms in front of my chest. "That's cruel."  I liked my lips teasingly. His eyes darken. "But we'll see who'll break first." I declared, making it a game. And I plan on winning.

The sound of silver forks hitting porcelain and unending laughter filled my dinning room. Angelo was telling me bits and pieces about his happy childhood. I found out that he has siblings: Rain, Miranda and his older brother, Ramon.

"Wait. Explain this whole Alpha werewolf thing." I asked as I cut up my steak into small pieces.

He held up a finger as he chewed, telling me to hold on. It was the same finger my tongue was on ten minutes ago. Something uncontrollable took over me when my tongue tasted his blood for the first time. I know an AB negative when I taste one but something was drastically different. Just drops of blood satisfied urges and feelings I didn't even knew existed. His blood was so rich and thick that it was addicting. I felt like I was a woman possessed, not being able to control myself.

And that terrified me.

I have spent decades trying to build self control that was as strong as steel. But Angelo dented it. The way his curious and lustful eyes meet mine was a branded into memory. How his eyes darkened as he bit his lip. Those lips...

"Well, I guess I should start with the basics." Angelo said, pulling me out of my lustful daze. "In the beginning-"

I burst into a fit of giggles. He raised a perfectly trimmed eyebrow.

"What's so funny?" He asked.

"'In the beginning..'" I mimicked.

He rolled his eyes. "Alright. Legendary, a werewolf is a mythical creature that can shift to a wolf or obtain wolf like characteristics." He began.

"Alright." I nodded as I took. bite of my steak.

"In werewolf terminology, a pack is a group of werewolves that is loyal to their leaders. The pack is like family. Werewolves were sort of nomadic like before so they needed leaders to lead them, hence why we have Alphas, Betas , etc." He explained. That made sense.

"I am going to obtain Alpha title in two years. I've proven myself worthy. My older brother found his human mate last year and decided he didn't want to get into pack business or anything. He's currently traveling the world. So it's just me in line." When he was talking about his brother, I saw the far away look in his eyes and I instantly knew that he missed him.

"So Alpha huh? Seems like a really big job." I commented, taking a sip of my water after the words left my mouth.

He shrugged. "I never really thought much about it. I mean it's my duty." I leaned over the table and took is hand in mine.

He's basically forced to become Alpha of a pack at such a young age. That must me stressful, and emotionally tiring. "You're going to be great." I whispered.

He smiled, but it didn't mirror his sad, confused filled eyes.
