Chapter 21.(strange black figures)

Chapter 21.

I sat down on the couch next to Michael. "hey kiddo" he smiled at me.
"I'm not a kid" I playfully glared.

He rolled his eyes at me. "hopefully Luke doesn't take as long as you in the shower or we'll never be able to leave" be joked.

I blushed, avoiding his eyes. "I'm just kidding" he nudged me. "Luke's usually quick anyway, well unless he is tired. You know one time he practically fell asleep in there" he chuckled at his own fond memory.

I chuckled. "How can you fall asleep in the shower" I chuckled. "the water is apparently pretty soothing" Michael factually stated.

From the corner of my eye I saw a black figure fly across the wall in lighting speed.

I tensed.

No-one saw, except me.

I glanced at the hallway one more time, seeing nothing I convinced myself I was just seeing things and nothing was there.

But a couple minutes later the same dark figure flashed before my eyes.

" Cassidy? Are you alright d'arlin, you've been starring in the hallway for quite a while. Did you see something?" Ashton asked.

"Hmm?" I looked away from the dark hallway and put my attention to him.

"No uh it's nothing" I awkwardly coughed.

I kept glancing back at the hallway.

A part of myself was telling me to forget about it, and that it was nothing. But an even bigger part was edging me on to go to the hallway and check it out, just to be sure.

I had a hard time staying on the couch. It felt like something was drawing me towards that hallway.

But if it was...her... would she come out when the boys were around? She might be afraid of them, and if she was I would certainly use that for my own well being.

I heard a door open then footsteps. I was a little jumpy but when I saw Luke's short, damp, blonde hair I knew everything was ok.

We were going to leave now, everything was fine.

I stood up, along with the rest of the boys and waited until they got everything sorted before we all walked out and into the car.

I looked out the window as we were driving away.

And in the living room window I could see her.

She had a smirk on her face as she starred directly into my eyes in a creepy manner.

I let out a scream and turned away, quickly covering my eyes. But the same sight replayed in my head.

Her face, haunting me.

And haunting me,

And haunting me.
