Chapter 38: Tris

TrisPOV: After falling asleep on the net and becoming drenched from a storm the had come through that night, four and I changed and found Uriah and told him what we had discovered. He then sent a message to Caleb at the Erudite compound and told him he could distribute the news however he liked. Once we left Uriah, Four and I strode hand in hand back to his room. "Wow. I still can't believe were home, and that everything is back to normal." I said as we walked. "I am glad were home too. But your wrong about one thing." he stopped and turned to face me. "Everything isn't back to normal. That's the beauty of life, it's constantly changing." then he leaned forward and cupped his hand around my jaw as he pressed his lips to mine. I rose on my tip toe and put my arms around his neck. Then a smile grew on my face, "Your right," I said "but I think WE have changed most of all." with that he laughed and whipped me up into his arms carrying me into his room. He talked and laughed till our mouths were sore and we fell asleep, his arms around my back and my head nestled into his neck. After the past week, I realized I never questioned what caused me and katniss to switch places that day. Whether it be the fact that we had both fallen unconscious at the exact same time, or that there was some sort of magic behind it, I couldn't be sure. But i have a feeling it's the fact that I needed to learn to appreciate my life, and who loves me. And maybe four needed to learn some lesson of his own too. Bringing me together with Peeta, and Rosie in district 12 was an experience unlike any other, and I know it changed me for the better. Whether or not it was good or bad, I'm still glad it happened.
