Chapter 40 (Part 1)

Vic

I stare at Tony, my jaw twitching.

"I didn't have that planned tonight, Tony." I say, seething.

"Then what was it?" He snaps. I growl at him as I leave the room, and I grab the ring. I delicately place it down in front of him and point at it.

"This was it. I was gonna propose. And sex isn't ever the plan, it just happens." I mumble the last part, and Tony stares at me, shocked.

"You're going to propose?" He whispers. I nod vigorously, and he gulps.

"Oh. Keyona and I thought you were getting her a dog." He says.

I laugh, but the conversation turns back into a serious atmosphere quick.

"Well, um, congrats." He says, walking out. I see Mike and Jaime bust in, obviously eavesdropping.

"We heard everything." Mike says breathlessly.

"He's not too happy." Jaime says, a worried look on his face. I hear the door slam shut, and it doesn't take rocket science to figure out how pissed he is.

Keyona

I walk back into the hotel room, and I see Tony on the bed, looking down.

"Hey Tony turtle whats up?" I say. I see him lift his face, trying to smile. I frown, but he still smiles.

"Everything okay?" I ask, wary. He nods his head yes, but I can tell something's bugging him. I sit down next to him.

"Tony. Tell me what's wrong." I insist. He laughs, then claps my back.

"There's nothing wrong. I promise." He says, giving me one of his fake but serious looks. I roll my eyes, and we sit in awkward silence.

I see Vic walk in, smiling.

"Hello lovely." He says, kissing me. I blush, and he kisses me again.

"I have something planned for tonight so, yeah, be ready." He says. I laugh. What do I need to be ready for?

"And what exactly do I need to be ready for?" I ask, laughing. He kisses my cheek, and he whispers in my ear,

"Guess you'll have to wait for tonight."
