Demi's POV
(So this is basically gonna be a flashback into Demi's past.)
"Thank you New York! I love you all!" I say dripping in sweat as my fans cheered for me as I went off stage. I had just finished my set and now I was heading back to LA to be reunited with my long term boyfriend ,Wilmer, oh how I've missed him. As I was dressing I heard a knock on my door. I turned as my jaw hit the ground. "Missed me?" He asks his accent clearly heard. "Wilmer!!!" I squealed as I threw my arms around his neck as he picked me up and spun me in a circle. I kissed his lips as he set me down. "You were great out there babe!" He says "Thanks baby!" I say "Oh I almost forgot I've got a surprise for you." He says smiling. I was confused. It wasn't my birthday or anywhere near a holiday or our anniversary. "I snuck one of your fans backstage. Demi this is Jenny,Jenny well I'm sure you already know Demi." He says as a young girl no older than 15 probably stood beside him and smiled widely as she nodded. I smiled as well she was so cute I just wanted to pinch her cheeks! She had one of those tshirt with my face on it and My name written on her forehead. "Alright well I'll let you two get to know eachother." Wilmer says stepping out of the room. "Come on sweetheart don't be shy! I won't bite." I say joking she chuckled as she sat beside me on the couch. "I can't believe this! If this is a dream I don't ever want to wake up!" She says her eyes were filled with excitement. "Well I'll tell you this. It's not a dream. And we've got an hour or so before I have to head on a jet to LA." I say "No way! A whole hour with you!" She says her smile so big it seemed like her face was about to explode. "Yea so what do you want to talk about Sweetie?" I ask "I just wanted to say thank you for saving me. I mean I was going through a really tough time. My parents had just divorced this past Summer and then I started loosing friends. I started to think that I did something that it was my fault. That something was wrong with me." She explains that made me frown. I know how that feels and that shit hurts. "But then one day your song Stone Cold came on the radio and I related to it so much. So I listened to the rest of your album and I loved it! It's been on repeat since. I just wanted to thank you for giving me so much confidence not in me but in others as well. You've helped me realized that maybe this fucked up world isn't just filled with shitty people. It's filled with some awesome ones too." She says smiling. But I saw those tears in her eyes and it absolutely broke my heart. "Oh sweetie." I say pulling her into a hug. "This world may be fucked up but not all people are shitty. I mean you said yourself there are some awesome sauce people out there. You just need to learn the difference between them both. Luckily for you it's very obvious." I say while she chuckled. "Thanks Demi." She says giving me a small smile. "No cmon give me a real smile." I say playfully pushing her. Her smile grew but still quite not there. "Alright you asked for it!" I say starting to tickle her sides. "Demi please stop!" She squealed through her laughter. I somehow had gotten on top of her and my hands had somehow slipped under her shirt but I didn't care. I was so in the moment That I didn't notice when her laughter turned into screams. The next thing I know I was tackled to the ground. The girl was being comforted by another police officer while I was being handcuffed.
Present Day
"As they dragged me away. Wilmer was no where to be found. I'm so sure that bastard was the one who framed me. But he covered his tracks well. Turns out the girl was an actress. He hid cocaine in my dressing room while I was on stage. So that the cops would think I was high. The worst part is my own parents believed the liar rather than their own daughter." I say with tears in my eyes. "Damn I can't imagine what that must've felt like." Jordan says wiping a few tears with her sleeve. It's funny Jordan kinda reminds me of myself when I was younger. "Well I'll tell you this it felt like the whole world was against me. I felt like everyone was an enemy. So I guess that's how I treat everyone like an enemy." I say "You're not treating me like an enemy." Jordan says "I did at first. When they told me I had a visitor I thought 'great just another fan that I have to scare the shit out of'." I say "But you didn't scare me away." She says smirking i arched my eyebrow. "Fine I was scared shitless but I wasn't going to let this opportunity to raise my grade pass me by. I'd do anything to go to the same College my sister is going to." She says holding onto her locket. "She means a lot to you doesn't she?" I ask "The absolute world. She's the only one who actually cares about me." She says I furrowed my eyebrows. "Kid what are you talking about. I care about you and I'm sure your parents do aswell." I say "Fuck my parents Demi. They are barely ever home and they are the reason that Lacey left. To get as far away from them as possible. I don't blame her either." Jordan says I felt sorry for her. No kid should ever feel that way. "Well listen kid I know I'm not your sister but you can talk to me." I say she nods and looks at the sunset. "Thanks Demi I appreciate it." She says "Anytime." I say "it just pisses me off that you're in jail for no fucking reason!" I say "I know it pisses me off too kid. I just wish there was someway I could prove that that bastard is the guilty one and not me. You don't even want to know what he's done in his past." I say remembering all the horrible things I found out about him while we were still dating. I thought he changed. For me. For us. "Looks like I've got a new assignment then." Jordan says smirking "what do you mean kid?" I ask confused. She looks at her watch and her eyes widen. "I'll explain tomorrow but right now we've got to get you back to that hell hole which you won't be there for long hopefully." I say "Do we have too? I haven't felt this good in a long time." I say "Don't worry this won't be the last time you see the outside world. That's a promise." Jordan says standing up I smiled as I stood up and walked back to her car. Time seemed to slow down as we drove back to the jail. Ever since Jordan had come into my life it has changed dramatically. She parked in the lot we still had at least half an hour to spare. "Oh hey I almost forgot I want you to have this." Jordan says breaking the silence. I look over to see she was handing me a photo. It looked to be a picture from one of my meet and greets. "Is this...?" I start but she cut me off "When we first met. That's the Demi I remember meeting when I was this little kid. I saw that Demi today. And I hope to see more of her." I smiled as I examined the picture. I recognized little Jordan she looked to be at least 15. The girl next to me must be her sister and they are 2 years apart so that means she was 17. "I'm sure you'll bring that side of me out." I say as she smiles. We got out of the car and I hugged her and she hugged back. "Night kid. Try to get some rest." I say ruffling "I'll try. You'll be there if I can't though right?" She says almost worried that I won't. "Always. I'll never leave you Jordan." I say reassuring her. She nods smiling. "Okay well I better go. See ya kid." I say "See ya Demi." She says as I start walking to the hell hole. I walk inside and I willingly allow the cops to put the cuffs on me. As officer James escorts me to my cell I start to wonder why he picked me to pair up with this kid. "Hey James?" I ask "Yes Ms.Lovato." He says "Uh just call me Demi." I say "Right sorry." He says I nod "Anyway I wanted to ask you why did you pick me to be Jordan's jail buddy?" I say knowing he's in charge of that program. "You needed some light in your life Demi. And Jordan looks like she's giving you some hope. Or at least that's what I hope she's doing." He says "Yea that's exactly what she's doing. Thank you James." I say he nods as he walks away from my cell. I lay down on my bed and stare at the ceiling. It must've been more than a few hours later because I hear. "Demi are you there?" I reach for my waki taki. "Yea like I said kid. I'll never leave you"
