ASH's POV

Cold and hard pavement woke me up.

Nagising ako sa isang kwarto. No, mas mukha itong malaking kulungan. I groaned when my head hurt like it was hit by a hammer countless of times.

I groaned when my head hurts more.

Fuck, where are we?!

My eyes quickly turned to my outfit, and fuck, who the heck changed our clothes into some kind of blue laboratory clothes as if we're patients in a hospital?!

I looked around again. We're inside a vast and spacious cage. Maraming single bed na kulay puti at sa totoo lang, this reminds me of a mental hospital.

"Excuse me," I said to get their attention. I couldn't help but observe and be alert at the kind of stares they're throwing me.

"How will I help you?" I awkwardly smile as I don't know how to communicate with people properly when asking for information.

I don't even know what to ask... but if we didn't move, we wouldn't be able to get some information regarding this place.

"Ah, why did they put us here? I thought they would help us?" I was trying to stay calm despite those thoughts that are entering my mind.

No, I wasn't hoping that this is just a dream because the truth is right in front of me. I already know the answer to my question, but I still need confirmation before I push through with the plan I'm having in my head.

The woman laughed bitterly. Kumunot ang noo ko. Did she find my question absurd? Or she thought I was still hoping that whatever that's in front of us isn't real?

"As I thought, bagong huli lang kayo 'no?" She looks at us as if pitying our group. I saw some of my groups finally woke up after hearing us talking.

Lab rats? Guinea pigs? Name it," She smiled sadly... as if she knows that her life is going to ended... no, it's about to end the day they reached this place.

The day we reached this place.

Lab rats? Guinea pigs? Fuck.

I quickly go to where our companions are... more importantly, to Nathan, who's still sleeping.

"Nathan, wake up," I tapped his shoulder and move his body so his nerves would send shock alarm to his brain as what they usually do to wake up someone when they're in the middle of a disaster.

He groaned for a while, just before slowly, he opened his eyes, and just like what I did, I saw him hold his head as if it hurts too, and I know the feeling, bud. Then, his eyes stopped at me, and now he's looking at me with confusion on his face. I sighed heavily.
