Liam:

It had been two weeks since the meeting with Simon, a week since I found the divorce papers in the kitchen, and a week since I had seen my daughter. I was angry that I hadn't seen Elise in so long and I was not going to stand for it. I didn't care that Danielle and I were getting a divorce, well I did. I cared a lot but I also wanted to see my daughter.

I grabbed my phone and called Danielle, I was a little nervous to talk her since I hadn't spoken a word to her since I found the divorce papers. I had signed them, not happily, but I knew that Danielle would push it until I finally caved. I gave them to my lawyer who would in turn give them to her lawyer. I found it pathetic that we couldn't even communicate with each other.

"Hello?"

"I want to see Elise." I said not even bothering with a greeting.

"Okay, um you can come pick her up in a few hours. How long do you want her for?"

"Do you have time to sit down and figure out a schedule at least for next few weeks or so?" I asked.

"Uh, yeah. I'll text you the address of my new flat. Be here in a few hours." She said before hanging up.

I sighed tossing my phone onto the couch cushion next to me. I turned my attention back to the show in front of me. I didn't know what it was, and I didn't particularly care either. My phone buzzed and I looked at it hoping that it was Danielle telling me that this was for Punk'd or something and we weren't really getting a divorce. It wasn't though, it was Andy asking me if I wanted to hang out. I didn't have anything better to do until I went to get Elise so I headed to the flat that Andy shared with his longtime girlfriend.

We sat down in living room each of us with a game controller in our hands, "So how's it going?" He asked giving me a cautious glance.

"I've definitely been better." I mumbled, "It just wasn't supposed to end up like this." I said sighing and leaning back further into the chair I was sitting on.

"I know, mate. And I wish I knew what to tell you, but I don't. It's something that you're just going to have to push through, for yourself and for Elise." He said and I just nodded before we got engrossed in our game.

"Alright mate, I have to go." I said standing up and giving any Andy a manly hug. I punched the address to Danielle's new flat into my GPS and followed it to a small block of luxurious looking flats. I parked my car in the carpark before heading up to the top floor. I couldn't help but wonder how long she had the flat for. How long had she known that she was going to divorce me? These were all questions that I wanted to ask but knew that I wouldn't.

I knocked on the door of a flat and it swung open a minute later to reveal Danielle in one of her classic dance outfits, a sports bra, a pair of sweatpants, and with her mass of curly hair piled on top of her head in a giant bun. "Practice." She mumbled through the tooth brush she had in her mouth. She stepped aside and let me in and I couldn't help but notice that it was a very masculine apartment. I knew immediately that she hadn't gotten herself a new apartment, she had moved in with someone else, the someone else. I felt hot anger course through my veins not only from the idea of her leaving me for someone else, but for the fact that there was now another man in my daughter's life that she would be living with.

"Daddy!" I heard a squeal and Elise came tearing into the room. I crouched down and held my arms open for her and she launched herself into my arms, wrapping her own around my neck. "I missed you daddy."
