Jays Pov

I get home for about 11:45 and walk up to my apartment and close the door behind me. I make my way to the kitchen and pull open the fridge and grab a bear , relising that I made plans with Erin to have bears tonight after the case was closed.*crap*. I check my phone and I have 3 messages one from Voight to my surprise that says *hope the girl is ok Halstead and thought I'd let you know we closed the case good work today* ,and two from Erin that say 1.*hey don't worry about beers tonight I hope Alex is ok , let me know how she is x.* as 2.* hey i know you have been with Alex most of the day but have you eaten?* i felt bad but realised the second text was only from an hour ago. I text back *hey sorry I no it's late but I lost track of time and I don't think I have but anyway, Hurd you closed the case?* to my surprise she text back straight away it says

E- ya we did and so u haven't eaten all day?

J- ya I haven't ,oops 🙈

E- I thought you might say that 😉

After I read the text from Erin I Hurd a knock on the door I open it for it only to be Erin holding a bag from in and out Berger

E- special delivery! (Laugh)

J- hey ha what r u doing here ?

E- bringing my parter 'the hero' some food

J- hero huh? I could get used to the you wana come in :)

E- I'll take that beer now I think ,if it's still going? I wana know everything

J- for you alway! Oh Erin she's great (hands beer) she's so innocent and sweet, and she has know one so I'm gona be there for her, I know we just met her but there's something about her...

E- what is it ?

J- I have no idea but when I figure it out I'll let you know :) I'm gona help her get clean and help her sort out her life. She's only 15 ....

E- wow Jay you really are a hero (she says smiling) (they both just look at each other for a second while sipping there beers) (erin coughs) so where's this new tv ?

J- am ya it's  just over there

Jays Pov

Erin walks towards the couch, I don't no why but I just watch and smile. Erin linsey is the one girl I can't shake my feelings for no mater how hard a try ..., she snaps me out of my thoughts as she says *you coming?* ... *oh ha ya* I walk over and sit beside her. I know we liked each other a while back but couldn't go there because of the job, but I'm falling hard for her and just hope she feels the same. We talk for hours and I tell her about Alex nd her story I also add that I mentioned that I told Alex that Erin went through something similar... She looks at me for a sec and then looks away and then back to me, I asked if she would be willing to talk to Alex and tell her her story...

E- Jay I don't no ...
J- you don't have to I just thought it might help
E- do really believe in her?
J- I do more than I have anything in a long time !
E- ok if it means this much to you I will talk to her
J- thank you Erin you don't no how amazing it is to here you say that (hugs her tight and they stay there for a while)

Erin Pov

If it means this much to Jay I'm going to do it for him!, he hugs me and we just stay there feeling safe in each other's embrace. I liked Jay a while back but now I think it's gone further, I couldn't stop thinking about him today after that close call I hope he still likes me but the chances of that are slim.

Jay falls asleep and it's now 2am I no we don't have to go to work until 3 tomorrow only for a few hours to do paperwork so I put my head on his shoulder and fall asleep
