Jays Pov

With out realising, I fell asleep in the waiting room chair. I'm awoken by a doctor that says *I'm looking for mr Halstead regarding Alex Morgan* I stand up and walk towards the doctor and he in forms me on what happened:

D- mr Halstead, Alex sustained a non fatal gun shot wound to he upper leg, she lost a lot of blood but we brought her into surgery to remove and fix the damage to her leg. We also found out that she was on the verge of an OD as well, I believe ye at calling the drug buzz is it , a form of coacaine, anyway we gave her fluids and removed all the toxins from her system, if you hadn't brought her in when you did she would be dead. She's stable

J- can I see her?

D- ya sure she's in room 203

J- thanks dock

I walk down the hall and see room 203 I look in and see Alex awake I knock :

A- come in

J- hi Alex I'm...

A- Jay Halstead right? I'm Alex Morgan I'm 15

J- ya the doctor said that and that's me I didn't think you would remember me?

A- i remember everything unfortunately
(She says with a tear stream down her cheek)

J- hey.. It's ok you will be fine it hair takes time.

A- ya I hope so (she chokes out ), you can sit down if you want ...

J- oh ya thanks, the doctor says your going to ok and you can leave in a few days

A- ya? I'm to sure I want to leave (she says more tears running down her face)

J- oh Alex I'm sorry why is that?

A- as you probably already know considering your a detective (points to badge) my mother OD and past away a while ago and I didn't really know my father case he was in and outof prison my hole life ... (She sobs)

J- it's ok Alex (grabs her hand) , do you mind if I ask where u have been staying?

A- am... Everywhere I guess as you've seen the marks in my arms and no dought the doctor told you I take drugs.... (She looks down embarrassed) and I don't really have a home I kind of black out most days and wake up in a random place like some random persons couch, a bus stop , beside a dumpster ( she cries) I want out but the way I live I just keep going back ...

J- Alex I'm so sorry... I no it looks bad now but you can out of this better and stronger.

A- you don't know that ( more tears )

J- I actually do my best friend and my parter was you when she was younger, well I have no right to tell her story to be honest. Unless you want to know I can ask her to come down here, her name is Erin

A- can I think about it?

J- of corse and if you want to get clean I can most defiantly help with that!

A- really? You would do that for me?

J- of corse!

A- but I'm a complete stranger

J- I no but my boss did this exact same thing to a girl who was just like you case he saw something in her, and if he didn't I would not have the best friend and partner that I have now. And I see something in you Alex!...

A- (sits up and hugs Jay smiling with the Odd happy tear) thank you Jay !

J- I have to go now I just realised the time (11:30 pm) but here's my card and I will be back tomorrow before work case I only have paperwork tomorrow, if that's ok with you?

A- ya thank you again Jay.

J- my pleasure talk tomorrow text me if you need anything and I mean anything at all ok.

A- ok night
