2.6 ~ is it too late

Katies POV

"How? I can't breathe underwater." He asks nervously.

"Just, trust me."

I dove back into the water, tugging Michael behind me, we swam about 500m to the nearest reef.

"Just stay above water for now, okay?" I say, he nods and swims back up.

I grab a handful of breathing weed, something very few mermaids know about.

Swimming back up to Michael, I broke surface and shoved some into his mouth, forceful, I know, but if he looked at it he wouldnt eat it.

"Swallow it." I say firmly.

He cringes, but does as I say. I tug him underwater once again.

"Okay Michael. Say something"

He looks at me quizically.

"Just do it."

"Pikachu. Woah, what?"

"Hurry, it wears off in 6 hours and we still have to get the other boys.

We got back to the shore, where all 3 boys sat now.

"Guys we can talk later we have to go see my mum!" I yell at them, making their heads snap towards me.

"Wheres Michael?" Ash panics, obviously assuming the worst.

"Underwater, just come in now!"

They all stripped and dove in next to me, where I offered Ash and Luke some breathing weed.

"What is that?" Luke asks, shyly.

"Just eat it."

He takes half and quickly swallows it, along with Ashton.

"Okay, basically now you can breathe and shit under wate-"

"I don't think shitting underwater would be very progressive, wouldnt it just float back up?" Ash giggles.

I laugh and roll my eyes, motioning them to follow me under.

"Alright, Cal, you pull along Luke and Mike, I'll take Ash." I say.

"Nah you take Luke, he's super scrawny and easier to drag." Cal smirks, throwing a wink towards Luke.

"Okay then." I shrug, grabbing onto Luke's hand.

"Just don't let go." I smile at him.

"I wish I never did..." he mumbles, but I heard it.

"Mum, I'm going to the gorges." I say, swimming into the throne room on my own.

"What? NO!" she yells.

"Mum! Aqua and Rose were kidnapped now! I have to help." I defend myself.

"Who would protect you? I cant go, I can send some of the guards but i dont know how much help they'd be." she says, arguing her point.

On cue, the 4 boys swam in, mum staring at them in shock.

"Okay, what?" she asks, looking at me, her eyes wide.

"Mum, meet Ash, Luke and Michael." I say pointing to the boys.

"Welcome home Cal, and hello boys."

"Mum, I've seen Katie stand up to Scar and Walter before. She could do it with Aqua and Rose, imagine if she could do it with us and other guards? We could do it, mum." Calum pleads to our mum, grabbing hold of her hand reassuringly.
