"You must have really messed up" Mason said in a matter of fact tone. He had called me (waking me up on a Saturday morning) to remind me of the fact that last night I may have ruined my chances actually scratch that I had obliterated any chances with Brooklyn.

As if I stood a chance against that baby daddy of hers...

"I can’t believe he kissed me", Brooklyn was raising her voice while recounting the events of last night to G.

"Don’t act like you didn’t like it" G muttered to herself, not soft enough for Brooklyn to miss it though.

"What did you just say?" Brooklyn said less seriously than she intended.

"You heard me, he may have been drunk but he's hot...and Pablo's not here. You can at least fantasise...right?"

"Are you serious? I LOVE Pablo...”

"I know you do; I’m just wondering why you want to shackle your self down so early, only thinking about you New York"

_______________

"Mason, I want her" I was still whining like a girl about the whole Brooklyn thing. "Maybe I should call and apologise".

"Oh - no!!! Have you found god or something...? Why are you so obsessed with her?" Mason finally snapped and asked.

"Because she's the first girl I actually really like. I hate the fact that she probably hates me. I hate the fact that I can’t stop thinking about her. I hate the fact that I’ve broken like all of my rules. And most of all I hate the fact that she's taken". I concluded yelling.

_______________

"Xander? That’s taking it too far. He doesn’t even know you; he didn’t need to say something like that"

"I know right, anyways lets talk about something else".

_______________

"Oh my god, you’re falling deep. You sure about this you just met her" Mason said with a sceptical look on his face.

"I don’t even know anymore, I just..." I was cut off when my phone rang, caller id: Dad.

"Hey dad"

"Hi son, I need you to be home tonight, I took your Armani suit to the dry cleaners pick it up on your way".

“Why, what’s going it on?"

"I’m entertaining guests at a dinner party tonight".

"Oh I see"

"You can bring that Meiser fellow if you like, it’s at 7pm sharp don’t be late".

______________

Brooklyn and Gigi were getting ready to go to this supposed dinner party her dad's district attorney was having.

Brooklyn had heard rumours that their rival fashion company Jean-Claire creations by Fabrice Jean-Claire (real name Julian Townsend - he changed it when he 'made it') had made a replica of their show stopper and were passing it off as their own. The Jean-Claire family were not only in Claude St. Pierre's bad books but they were also in Brooklyn’s'. Fabrice's oldest and only daughter Heather was Brooklyn’s arch rival both on the cat walk and off it.

Brooklyn had expertly twisted her hair into a whole head boho braid, held in place by 32 carat gold hair pins. Dressed in a nude Hervé Lager cocktail dress, matched with hot pink Christian Louboutin strappy shoes a clutch and the right accessories she looked amazing.

To the family G-G was like the daughter Claude never had. She was dressed in a pale green Hervé Lager cocktail dress, matched with tan Jimmy Choo ankle boots. Her luscious wavy brunette hair cascading over her shoulders with the right accessories and a clutch in hand she linked arms with Claude on his left arm, whilst Brooklyn did the same on his right arm, as they made their way towards the mansion

If people didn’t know who they were, they could have incorrectly guessed that Claude was a pimp and Brook and G were high-class whores.

Mase, I remember her name that’s got to mean something right?" I had been on the subject of Brooklyn since morning; Mason seemed tired of it already. We were in my room getting ready for the dinner party. He pretty much lived in my house and played the role of the brother I never had so I shared my closet with him.

"Yeah I guess" he said yawning, "I think this is the most you've ever had to say about a girl, you know that? I think I like the old you better, could you pass my cuff links?"

Throwing them across the room at him   I continued “Whatever, you should understand where I’m coming from, you've been in my position before".

His eyes glazed over before he began, "I told you never to bring this up again" he said dead serious.

"Yeah, you see. You do see where I’m coming from". I said while adjusting my tie.

"Yeah okay I’ve ‘tasted’ this situation before" he said using air quotations, "but I’ll tell you straight, the after taste is the worst part, I mean look at me" he concluded spreading his arms.

I might not have fallen for her completely yet, but I was well on the way. It was probably best if I avoided her.

I was pouring a glass of whiskey for myself and Mason upstairs when I heard the bell ring.

"Welcome" I heard my dad greet the guests.

I downed my drink and made my way down the alabaster stair case, and over towards the guests.

The sight before me was going to, hell it already had, changed my life...
