I walked up to my locker after lunch, and I couldn't get Gage and I's phone call out of my head. We talked for 2 hours and like, 20 minutes last night. I still couldn't fall asleep though after we ended the call for a long time.

He's so amazing, and I really, really hope he likes me back. I was snapped out of my thoughts when someone leaned up against the locker next to mine. I looked up and locked eyes with Mason, a junior, and he's an arrogant jerk.

"Hey, Sam. You're lookin real fine today." He said and wiggled his eyebrows. I rolled my eyes,

"Yeah, thanks. Bye." I said and looked back in my locker before hearing him snicker,

"You should really go out with me, Sam. I mean, it's not like you could do any better than this." He said and gestured to himself. I sighed and closed my locker,

"Look, for one thing, I can do better than this," I mocked him, "and another thing, you're an arrogant, self-centered idiot! I've told you before, I'm not interested. Now beat it." I told him and watched him roll his eyes and walk off.

See, I used to be overweight... and, I used to get bullied for it by some of the what are now juniors. Mason being one of them. But, I lost all of my weight over this summer, and ever since I came back in August, I've been treated and looked at very differently by almost everyone. You know? I even worked enough to the point where I now have a 4-pack. And, I take full pride in it.

"Sammy!" I turned and saw Dallas and his twin, Donell walking up to me.

"Dallas! Donell!" I smiled and Dallas put his arm around my shoulders,

"So, we have a question for you." He said and I exchanged glances between him and Donell.

"Yeah, about this kid named Gage Brown." Donell smirked and I swear my face lit up just by hearing his name. They both laughed at me and I blushed,

"What's your question?" I asked and we walked into World Geography. Dallas sat next to me,

"What would you happen to say, if he asked you to go out with him?" He asked and I felt my heart burst into butterflies. I leaned back calmly though,

"Well, I would probably say..."

The bell rang and our teacher spoke up,

"Okay, guys. I found a new video about our conversation on Europe-" he started rambling on about it, and I locked eyes with Dallas again. He raised his eyebrows and I laughed a little bit,

"I'm not sure." I said and he nodded,

"Yeah, okay." He said sarcastically and looked back at his desk as I bit my lip. "Sure you don't."

I know Dallas knows. Dallas knows everything before I do, I think. To be completely honest, I really think he's like, the 2nd best guy in this school.

We were able to start that video, but we weren't able to finish it. Although, what we were able to watch, didn't really make a difference. I couldn't stop thinking about Gage, and our entire conversation on the phone last night.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when the bell rang and I grabbed my backpack and walked out, pulling my phone out as I did so. I was on Instagram when I felt two hands on my waist, making me gasp and spin around, locking eyes with Mason. I hit his hands off of me and narrowed my eyes at him,

"What do you want?" I asked and he followed me to my locker again,

"I was just wondering if you had any plans tonight. Maybe we could go see a movie?" He suggested and I felt my blood boil,

"Mason, I swear..."

"Oh come on, Sam. Just give me one chance. I know you'll love it." He said confidently and I just wanted to punch him in the face.

"Mason!" I heard Gage's voice and I looked over Mason's shoulder to see him walking up to us. "She said to leave her alone, dude. Just, listen to her and go." He said sternly and Mason put his hands up in surrender, walking off. "Hey." Gage looked at me and smiled.

"Hi." I said shyly and he grinned at me. "Thank you. For making him leave me alone." I told him and he nodded,

"No problem. I didn't really believe you last night until now..." he chuckled lightly and I grinned,

"Wow, thanks." I said and we both laughed, and walked up to 7th hour, which is Biology.

Gage has been a sweetheart all day, and I was currently laughing at something he said to Kali, that made her have the best reaction ever in 8th hour. It was hard to breathe at this point and I sat back, taking deep breaths.

Michael laughed at me when we locked eyes and I looked back at Kali,

"Dude, that was great." I told her and she grinned, looking back down at her paper. "I'm sorry, Kal, but you have to admit..." I chuckled and she nodded,

"Thank you, Sam." She said sarcastically and I laughed again.
