"Hey," you say to your phone, your eyes greedily taking in your girlfriend's features.

"Hey," Jeongyeon greets, sparing you a glance and an adorable smile before returning her gaze to the road before her.

It's the middle of night, and it's snowing quite heavily where she is, and yet she's outside in the ice and the cold. You stare at her a little longer, your chin resting on your palm, a pillow caged between your arms.

You could hear the soft crunch of snow beneath her feet, see the air she puffs out into the cold breeze. You could notice her subtle shivering, and you wished nothing more than to be there with her and wrap her in your warmth.

"Why're you out that late?" you ask, worried. Most times she'd be in her hotel room in that kind of weather, talking to you while the tv blares in the background. Today was not most times.

Jeongyeon lets a couple of seconds pass before replying. "Just taking a walk."

A soft laugh slips past your lips, causing a smile to grow on hers. "In that weather?"

"I need to get my steps in."

Both of you giggle at her joke. Despite that, you were still confused. Jeongyeon was supposed to be halfway around the world, and yet the weather she's in is similar to yours. You didn't let that bother you, though. You were too lazy to check South Korea's conditions, but perhaps it was snowing there, too.

Long distance relationships are never easy. There's the wish to be in each other's presence, but the distance in between prevents that. Add the fact that Jeongyeon is a well-known idol, well, there's even less chance for you two to spend quality time together.

"How was your day?"

And just like that, all your doubts and worries are washed away.

With one call, Jeongyeon's there to get you smiling. She's there asking about you and telling you everything about her travels, be it something as big as her overseas concerts or just the seagull she saw that day. She'll listen intently to your troubles and reassure you, and even without her there physically, you can feel her warmth through your device.

You still really miss her, though. It's been around five months since you'd last seen her.

She speaks again when you finish telling her about how your room rearrangement went. "Can you let me in?"

This takes you by surprise. What did she mean by that?

"What?" You think she's joking again. Perhaps a knock knock joke said differently.

The twinkle in her eyes is noticeable, the same kind of twinkle that appears whenever she's up to something. She smiles and repeats it. "Can you let me in? It's kind of cold out here, you know."

"What?" You sit up, clutching your phone in one hand and blindly searching for your slippers. "Jeongie, what do you mean?"

"Open the door, sweetheart," she laughs, "and you'll see."

Doubtful but still hoping she meant what you thought, you rush downstairs, yanking open the door and coming face to face with...

Jeongyeon.

In the flesh. In real life. Physically.

And a blast of extremely cold wind that seeped through your thin pajamas, but you didn't really care about that.

Not when your girlfriend is right there.

You let out a squeal and almost drop your phone, basically jumping at her and pulling her into a hug. Jeongyeon automatically wraps her arms around you, holding you tight as you squeeze the life out of her.

"You didn't tell me you were coming!" You scold her, fighting back tears of happiness.

She chuckles happily. "I wanted it to be a surprise. Let's get inside, yeah?"

She closes the door behind the two of you, still holding onto you as she falls back into the couch. "Miss me?"

"Obviously," you say into her shoulder. "How long will you stay?"

"You have me for the whole week, my love."
